Lots of comments on my IG and FB videos recently about it being SO difficult to rip paper stencils away... from quilters who haven't ordered stencils from my site. Please TRY the technique for yourself before talking a beginner out of trying it. Don't rip it until you personally stitch it!

Kind of on a fabric prep roll... I've been pressing a LOT of fabric lately so it's on my mind. Here's a new video today on a quicker way to starch fabric precut strips. I find these a particular pain because they're so long and there's so many of them! This method did speed things up and I'm satisfied with the stability / stiffness after one starch and press.

Let's start swatching! This is the little collection of decorative stitch swatches I've made so far. I love being able to see how the built-in stitches from my sewing machine look on actual fabric and I know I will refer to this info time and time again.
How did I make this? The new Decorative Stitch Swatcher template! It's a simple template designed to mark a 5-inch precut square with lines so you can test stitches, buttonholes, and even your machine's alphabet if you have one.
