VIDEO ARTIST // CINEMATOGRAPHER // INTERACTIVE
CAPITAL WASTE is a cinematographer and video artist living on Kaurna Yerta in Adelaide, SA. Known for both their glitchy, analog aesthetic and DIY, high-tech approach to real-time animation- their unorthodox mash of technologies provide a unique flavour of multimedia visual stimulation. Their latest light installation PROJECT : EARTH (2024) commissioned by Adelaide Fringe Festival 2024 saw over 30,000 audience members over the season. Their live visuals have been seen at Unsound Festival, NGV, Denver Museum of Science, Illuminate Adelaide, WOMADelaide, Fringe Festival and AGSA.
As a cinematographer, recent projects include ‘I take care of what’s mine’ (2024) by Emmaline Zanelli playing at Samstag Museum through Adelaide Film Festival 2024. As well as DOP for documentaries The Angels: Kickin’ Down The Door (2022) and Video Nasty: The Making of Ribspreader (2020).
