Been away for awhile. Life has been very stressful and crazy. I’m gonna start dropping reviews on YouTube again this weekend.

Though, in order to keep my sanity, I’m cutting back to one review per week. Maybe a short review here and there. Life is just too much right now for anymore.

In the meantime, this is a new one I found at The Bearded Monk in Denton, TX. Visitor.FYI. Crisp Lager that’s lightly hopped. It’s not bad. Review coming soon(ish).

Quick update. I actually have four lagers in the fridge, not three. So today we're dropping a short on Buckler. On Friday we'll drop a longer review on Rescue Club Pils. Next week we'll do two long reviews on Safety Glasses Pils and Southern Grist Pils.

Today's review of the Kora Double IPA from Atmos has been delayed till tomorrow. I had to give up my normal filming time to take a test for a promotion at work. Erin and I could really used the sizeable pay raise it would bring in. After that, I was too mentally drained last night to film. Filming is done now and Erin is cutting it up as we speak. Will drop tomorrow afternoon.

This week on Hangover Free Reveiws we've got short reviews on Wellbeing Intentional IPA on Tuesday and Buckler Larger on Thursday. My long form, Saturday review will be announced later this week. I'll probably have to snag something from Total Wine as I don't think my big order from Proof No More will be in by then.

However, in the coming weeks, from that order we're gonna have beers from Atmos, Collective Arts, Industrial Arts, and Rescue Club!

TRADE REQUEST: If anyone has local access to Southern Grist's Pils and Parallel Sour, I'd being willing to trade a six pack of Karbach and Community's NA IPA from Texas via mail. Or I could just buy you a proofnomore gift card for equal worth, or just Zelle you the money for the beer+shipping. I really want to get my hands on them for reviews, but they are sold out on the website and I've gotten radio silence on the brewery's Instagram page.

The Brewing Sailor

I know I've been AFK for a bit. I've been battling through a particularly tough bout of depression, exacerbated by problems at work. I've decided to do something about that and look for a new job. For the past week, I've been sending out applications. That's why I haven't posted a new review in over a week.

I am recording tonight, a review for the Leveled Beverage Collective Beardsicle Cold IPA. Which will drop Saturday afternoon.

Going forward, at least until I find a new job, I will drop one short review on Wednesday and one long review on Saturday. After the Beardsicle, next week I will be reviewing Athletic's Free Wave. That review is to fulfill a request from a viewer. I have two short reviews to do on Athletic (Good Heavens Helles, Apricot Farmhouse) coming up as well. One I finish those, I'll be moving away from Athletic for a good while. There are some breweries I really need to review like Rescue Club, Southern Grist, and I'd love to get some more beer from Self Care.

Finally, I leave you with a picture of the NA Selection at the Whole Foods in Plano, TX. Great selection for a grocery store and all refrigerated. Beautiful to see!

My first NA Gin & Tonic. I’ve got Monday Gin on order, but wanted something this weekend. Ritual Zero Proof was good pinch hitter. The botanicals are juniper and citrus forward, really good stuff. Crisp, refreshing and at $28 per bottle at Total Wine, very reasonable.



Nice to have my summertime cocktail again, minus the hangovers.

Athletic Raspberry Sour. Compared to the two other Raspberry Sours I've had Ruby (Woodland Farms) and All That Razz (1820) it's my least favorite, but not because it's a bad beer. It's actually very good. It's because it's the most tart and y'all know me and my proclivities toward sours.

So, if you prefer your sours to be, well...you know...Sour. Then this beer is the Raspberry Sour for you! It's not pin the Sailor's face into a permanent Jack Nicholson Joker Face sour, but certainly more tart than the other two.

Review coming soon. Leaning toward putting in the new HFR 60 Second Review series. I have a bunch of Athletic reviews coming up and I've already reviewed two other Raspberry sours. Yeah...HFR in 60 Seconds on this beer coming on Monday.
