Anyone else super excited for the new take on Halo CE?!? I for one am super pumped about any new Halo thing and this new CE helmet is no exception. I'm super confident in it's accuracy and it has a ton of features to make printing and finishing this helmet a breeze.
Of course they slightly changed the visor for this helmet compared to the old one so we don't have photos for it done yet but we're offering physical visors here: galacticarmory.net/collections/new-releases-diy/pr…
The helmet files include:
- Assembled, Casting, and Solid Versions
- Bambu Studio Project and GCODE files
- Vacuum forming visor buck
- Pre-separated into 15 interlocking and keyed parts
- Multiple versions of the front vents for optional mesh backing
- Multiple versions of the lights for optional LEDs
- Engineered for all parts to fit on a 256mm cubed build volume without splitting
Hope you all enjoy and have a great Thanksgiving if you're in the USA!
It's time to announce the winners of the @trench_crusade Helmet contest! We also have a new surprise prize, a personal favorite pick of Mike Franchina and Factory Fortress!
In 1st place, winning a new BambuLab H2D Printer and 10kgs of filament, is a masterwork of execution and creativity! We were equal parts disgusted and intrigued with this custom Heretic Legion Helmet submission and we feel it's incredibly well deserving of 1st place. A big congratulations to our Grand Prize winner!
In 2nd place, winning a new BambuLab H2D Printer and 5kgs of filament, is a hilarious take on the famous Artillery Witch Helmet! One of my favorite parts about this contest is we never know what's going to be submitted or be popular with you guys. It stands as a staunch reminder that these contests are meant to be fun - and it can be rewarded!
In 3rd place, winning a new BambuLab H2D Printer, is another exceptionally designed and executed helmet! The semi-transparent helmet came across so beautifully even we would be challenged to recreate something so amazing.
A last minute addition to the prize pool, an order of the Prussian Stosstruppen Warband, was selected as the personal favorite pick of Mike Franchina - the concept artist behind so much of Trench Crusade! As you can tell, he has an exquisite eye for impressive artwork. Quite an honor being the official Factory Fortress pick in this contest!
My (Aaron) personal favorite pick, winning 5kgs of filament, I chose because of it's unique design elements, excellent execution, and stunning photography. I love myself some glowing eyes and detailed rust work!
Jamie's personal favorite pick, winning 5kgs of filament, he chose this piece because it "looks plucked directly from Mike Franchina's art! Between the utterly perfect weathering, the extra armour and cloth, to the decorative plinth, I would display this piece with pride if I was the artist!"
The social media winner, receiving 5kgs of filament, is @byzantine_pirate with his pristine looking Jannissary cosplay!
So many of you displayed so much creativity and talent and, regardless of how you placed, you should be proud for participating!
Alright, the baby is still not here yet so you guys get one of the largest singular releases Galactic Armory has ever done - the full Armor/Weapon range of the K-Pop Demon Hunters!
Stay tuned for an epic build video where we tackle the Gok-Do polearm and show you how to make your own! (New engineered version of the Gok-Do will be included in the releases later)
Each one of these parts has been lovingly crafted and engineered for multiple different skill levels!
All the weapons include:
- Solid blade version, for simple straightforward printing (try glow-in-the-dark filament!)
- Clean blades without engravings
- Hollowed blade version, for electronics and lights
- Vacuum forming bucks, for extremely durable builds with electronics and lights
- Bambu Studio Project and GCODE files
All the armors include:
- Pre-separated pauldrons, keyed for easy printing and assembly
- Bambu Studio Project and GCODE files
- Holes for tassels if necessary
Mira's Gok-Do and Rumi's swords utilize dowels or tubes through the center to provide strength and structure.
The rebel fleet is pulling in! 4 new rebel ship kit cards join the previously-released X-Wing. This has been another huge undertaking of designing/printing/improving to make sure each of the 4 new ships is as easy and fun to put together as the X-Wing! Remember, the X-Wing is still FREE to download as well: makerworld.com/en/models/1702633-x-wing-kit-card
The ship kit cards feature:
- Optimized and designed for assembly without glue
- Consistent 1:60 scale
- Bambu Studio 3MF file, with full color data
- Kit Card with and without sprue connectors
- Individual STL parts
- OBJ and MTL color data
Both the X-Wing and B-Wing feature wings capable of folding inwards. The B-Wing also has a special function - it is capable of standing in multiple positions with a rotating cockpit - just like in canon!
Huge shoutout to Bence Póczak, who modeled all these kits. Check out more of his work here: makerworld.com/en/@pbbence1994
Next up is the Empire fighters including:
Tie Interceptor
Tie Bomber
Tie Advanced
Lambda Shuttle
Tie Defender
For the Empire ships and future factions I'll likely release them one at a time so there's not such a big gap in between releases, I don't think you'll mind!
The Old Republic Havok Trooper Armor is finished! It's been added to the Patreon October rewards and the helmet remaster email will be sent out soon to those who've purchased in the past! patreon.com/galacticarmory
This has been one of the kits I've wanted to do the longest, it's one of my absolute favorite "armored guys" in Star Wars. I must watch through all those cinematics at least once every 6 months! There's a TON included in this release so let me write it all out.
The helmet features:
- Completely remastered to improve both accuracy and function
- Includes Bambu Studio Project and GCODE files
- Includes Assembled, Casting, and Solid versions of the main helmet body
- Includes a sizing slice to help scale the helmet (default scaled to fit 24.5" circumference heads)
- Printable visor template and ridge system integrated into the helmet, with additional non-ridge face variant
- Pre-separated into 11 main parts, keyed with interlocking guides for easy assembly
- Visor screen attachment variants, closed for prop use or open for optional functional screen
- Pre-cut parts for smaller printers
The armor features:
- Default scaled for someone 6' tall and around 200 lbs.
- Armor is pre-separated into 50 unique parts
- Optional backpack is hollowed and separated into 23 parts, with keyed interlocking tabs for easy printing and assembly
- Commander and Grunt shoulder variants
- Knife and sheath files are included
- Optional chest detonator pack
- Pre-cut parts for smaller printers
I really hope it's obvious just how much effort went into making this set! The whole team poured over every detail to get it just right, both accurate and easy to print/wear!
