🛑 Breaking News: Air India Flight AI-171 Crash – 12 June 2025 🛑

A major aviation tragedy unfolded in Ahmedabad on 12th June 2025, when Air India Flight AI-171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The aircraft was en route to London Gatwick and had 242 people onboard, including 12 crew members.

🚨 Crash Details:

✈️ Aircraft: Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner

👥 Onboard: 242 (230 passengers, 12 crew)

💀 Fatalities: 241 onboard, 28+ on the ground

✅ Sole Survivor: Vishwashkumar Ramesh (Seat 11A)

🕒 Time of crash: ~13:39 IST

📍 Crash Site: BJ Medical College Hostel, Ahmedabad

🔥 Massive fire, wreckage damage, and structural collapse reported


🎥 Rescue operations began immediately with support from NDRF, local authorities, firefighters, and the Indian Army. PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah visited the crash site and met with families and officials.

Both black boxes recovered

Speculations include possible mechanical failure or bird strike within 30 seconds of takeoff.


⚠️ This is one of the worst air disasters in Indian aviation history, and marks the first-ever fatal crash of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
