Just turned 30 today.
And honestlyā¦ itās wild looking back at how far life has come.
I started my 20s as this confused, broke, lower-middle-class kid with no strong academic record and zero backup plan. All I knew was ā if I donāt figure something out fast, Iām going to stay stuck. There were people waiting to see me fail, and deep down, I was scared they might be right.
The only thing I had in my control?
Learning.
So I picked up coding. Then Data Science. Then ML, AIā¦ one step at a time.
Eventually, I worked with big consulting firms, cracked high-paying remote jobs, and started building my own business alongside. It didnāt happen overnight. I just kept showing up.
Some of the biggest lessons from my 20s:
āØ You canāt always control outcomes ā job offers, money, relationships. But your daily effort? Thatās yours to own. And it matters the most.
āØ Health > Everything. Way cooler than a luxury car or a fancy job title.
āØ Motivation is niceā¦ but showing up on the days when you donāt feel like it? Thatās where the real growth happens.
āØ Keep your circle tight. You donāt need validation from everyone. Trust your gut more.
A lot of people hit 30 feeling anxious ā about their career, money, relationships, body, hairline (lol), you name it.
Iām just grateful I had a plan in my 20sā¦ and stuck to it long enough to see it work.
30s are going to be a whole new level ā I can feel it.
