So, there's good odds that the on-going court battle with Masangsoft and Gosu, AKA Jayce Azua, maybe what is preventing Steam GunZ from happening. A lot of the dates seem to line up with the planned release. I'm not well-versed in legal jargan, and I don't have access to the document because I'm not going to spend $50 for a subscription service I'm going to use one time, but a preliminary injunction is basically asking the defendant (in this case, Masangsoft) to do, or not do something until a proceeding court date. The on-going court case is public, so have a look at it yourself down below. I don't want to make too many assumptions.
I finally decided to sit down and start watching The GunZ The Duel - The Complete Saga by @kadaiGunZ last night to help me sleep. It's been wonderful to watch, and I'm glad we have so much of GunZ's history preserved in such a fashion. As many of you guys know, I'm more-or-less a newgen, and I don't know a lot of GunZ's past, so it's really interesting to see the context surrounding the game

This contains a complete breakdown of all the animations in the game, all the properties that I've been able to observe through my research and thanks to many of the awesome players on iGunZ!
Thank you so much to everyone who played a role in helping me with a lot of the discovery of mechanics. This video is my loveletter to GunZ, K-Style, and this awesome community, because I wouldn't have been able to do it without all of you. Much Love <3
I'll be honest, I've been thinking about working on more creative GunZ content, than just simply farming views via creating easy content like highlights. I still think that the highlights are important content for this community -- it's an easy way to consume high quality GunZ: The Duel content and clips without necessarily needing to seek them out, but from an editing perspective, it's not something that challenges me, requires any sort of creativity from me, etc.. Whenever I'm playing GunZ and get the sudden motivation to work on a video, it feels like so much wasted effort when I open up a project file for a highlight video instead of an actual project file where I have storyboarding/scripting, actual video recording and editing to look forward to.
I'm going to spend some time working on something that isn't a highlight, and I've already missed my mark for "going back to regular uploads" a while ago. Throwing highlights together is easy so if I really wanted to make an hour's worth of content, I could slap it together in 2 nights and upload 4 videos. But I'm not gonna do that (yet). I want to go back to putting out more unique content, especially now that the content war with Pls and DMCA-strikes are no longer an imminent threat.
One of the big things that has put me off from doing this, or generally committing as much time to GunZ is definitely drama related. Community-splitting drama. Some stuff that I don't feel like is important for people to necessarily know, but it's good information for it to be out there just for those who don't know about it. Said drama made me take a step away from the game for basically the last half-year. I wasn't directly involved in it, but it was a huge demoralizing blow to GunZ as a whole, and I want to share my perspective as someone who was caught in it from the beginning, was victimized for taking a side and had words put in my mouth because people refused to talk to me or ask my opinion on the matter -- simply took my actions at face value while they stood on the opposite side without really knowing what's goin on in my head.
and yes, i guarantee you that's why vantae's guide gets adverted to people (in general) and not mine as much anymore.
