🚗 2007–2014 Chevy Tahoe/Suburban & GMC Yukon – EVAP Headache
• Fuel pump keeps shutting off while filling
• Fuel spits back out
• Check Engine Light with EVAP codes

Common failures:
• Canister: sometimes breaks, spills charcoal pellets → blocks venting
• Purge valve: stuck, can’t pull vapors → tank can’t empty properly
• EVAP lines: clogged or pinched → tank can’t vent

💡 Fix often requires: removing the fuel tank and cleaning the EVAP lines, not just replacing parts.

🚨 GMC “Reduced Engine Power” Warning? Here’s What It Means! 🚨

If your GMC or Chevy shows “Reduced Engine Power”, it usually points to a throttle body or electronic throttle control issue.

🔧 Common DTCs:
• P0121 – Throttle Position Sensor Performance
• P0220 – TPS Circuit Malfunction
• P1516 / P2101 / P2135 – Throttle Actuator Control Errors

🧠 These codes often mean the ECU detected mismatched signals from throttle sensors. When that happens, it puts the vehicle into limp mode to protect the engine.

👨‍🔧 Fixes Include:
• Cleaning or replacing the throttle body
• Checking wiring/connectors
• Relearning the throttle body with a scan tool

🚗 Misfire? Rough Idle? Check Your Ignition Coils! 🔧
Having engine shaking at idle, hesitation while driving, or that annoying check engine light? It could be a misfire — and one common cause is a bad ignition coil!

👎 Symptoms:
• Rough idle (engine feels like it’s shaking)
• Poor acceleration
• Check Engine Light ON
• Engine sound feels uneven or weak

💡 If your scanner shows code P0300, that means random or multiple cylinder misfires — not just one spark plug or coil is misfiring. It might be more than one, or something affecting the whole ignition system!

🔥 Ignition coils are what send spark to your spark plugs. If one goes bad, the cylinder won’t fire properly, leading to that rough idle or loss of power.

DTC P0420 and DTC P0430 both refer to Catalyst not working Efficiently. But do you also know that poor Oxygen Sensor may also be the reason behind setting a false P0420 and P0430? Always check your Oxygen Sensors for proper Operation prior to replacing the Catalytic Convertor.
