Footprints, No Boundaries

Hi! I’m Shruti Chopra - here’s something about me and my motivation behind Footprints, No Boundaries..

I've been suffering from multiple chronic conditions for over 30 years now and even though I would like to be more active in my everyday life I am unable to do so but even then I still feel quite blessed to be able to do all that I can.

The reason for putting together content for this channel is to inform, educate, motivate & hopefully inspire those who battle various medical & non-medical challenges in life.

I suffer from over 13 medical conditions, which include, endometriosis, adenomyosis, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, chronic fatigue CSF leaks & MCAS - in this channel I speak about these conditions, how I handle the mental health, medical, my diet and my hair / skincare regimes.

I'm not a doctor, I'm a patient who talks from experience and is trying to create new footprints without boundaries.

Please remember to always seek professional medical advice.

Footprints, No Boundaries

Hi, I’m Shruti. And I’m starting a new chapter of sharing how I’m approaching fitness while living with chronic illnesses...

So every week, I’ll share what fitness looks like for me now: my diet, my exercise, the treatments I’m doing, the tools I'm using, and how I support my mind 'cos that's a really important one.

And in the next video, I’ll start by sharing the fitness goals I’m setting.

If you have any initial questions I'll really be happy to answer.

Footprints, No Boundaries

Hello everyone...

It's been a quite a while since I replied to comments, created a video and shared more about my constantly evolving health journey - basically, I haven't been very helpful to all of you who have reached out. But I am slowly going to get through the comments - reply to them and do better.

I hope you're all managing decently :)

Footprints, No Boundaries

A short poem: "The fragility of my skin

doesn't affect the strength of my soul.

The fragility of my mind

is what I need to work on more."

.
When you live with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), you also live with fragile skin, which cuts, stretches and scars easily - it takes longer to heal too.
.
But we all have things we're fragile about - but how much do we let it get to us? How much of our purpose does it control or shape? Does it add fear? That's for us to answer for ourselves.
.
Ooo.. for those wondering why there's black and white lines? Those who have EDS are known as medical zebras - and zebras have black and white stripes, so that's why, there are black and white lines.

Footprints, No Boundaries

A short poem: "He looked up at me, with warmth and love. A quiet 'thank you' and he slipped away."
.
As Toby passed, my hand was on his heart till its last beat and we just looked at each other. This short poem is about that moment of gratitude that I felt for having him come into my life and a realisation that we've always had this bond. (Toby 15 Oct. 2020 to 29 March 2022)
.
Thank you Ajay @followarchitect (on Instagram) for this special drawing of my handsome boy.

Footprints, No Boundaries

"Why do you have a stick?" - this is a question I get asked very often. In this spoken-word poetry piece, I share why I do, and the role Ehlers-Danlos syndrome plays in it all.

As I post this, the month of May has begun, which also happens to be Ehlers-Danlos syndrome awareness month and so this is another way to build awareness about EDS.

Footprints, No Boundaries

Dear everyone... Especially to those of you who have left a comment and I haven't replied to you - I am getting through them all slowly - answering a mix of some shorter and longer comments everyday. So if you're waiting for my reply - then, I promise, I am getting there.

Footprints, No Boundaries

A short poem: "I stood, I walked, I fell. I stood, I walked, again."

This poem doesn't just reflect what it's like in the literal sense for me, but also what all of us manage to do in life - we all get up from our falls, we all walk again.
