Thank you Lord for the peace that surpasses all understanding. Thank you for food that nourishes every cell in my body and restores my health. Thank you for the revelations, thank you for this fast. It changed everything. All because I got closer to You and further from the worldly ways, focused on You and less on the music, noise, evil and tragedy. There is and was always a way to go higher, and that will always be with our Lord and Savior.🕊️ Thank you for making me go back to basics, thank you for making me see that the hard way, the discomfort and facing all in this reality is not too hard or too scary, because we all have a secret card: and it’s God and His undeniable ways, His powerful creations, His glory and power that cannot be matched. We can DO ALL THINGS IN CHRIST. And we will be victorious as a result. Don’t doubt that. Ever. I used to think that everything was too much, but everything is flowing and overflowing (probably God’s favorite words) and it feels so good, you think you can’t do holy things until you do them and you see feel and understand that how you lived before cannot be matched with this new life. yes it’s new, uncomfortable but feels sooo good, you’re so at peace, following the pace of Peace✝️ because you have to CHOOSE — peace, you have to choose — STILLNESS. You have to choose — to FACE YOUR REALITY — you have to choose — to live in the NOW🤍 you have to choose — to be the BEST version of you, the one that follows the righteous path of God, because the other path, you’ve been there and you wouldn’t want to go there anymore. So what is left there? To face yourself: your past actions, choices: good or bad, your words, thoughts, your fears, your addictions, your insecurities, your obsessions, your fantasies, your dreams, your unfulfilled potential, your hidden thoughts, your unspoken pain, your unspoken hurt, your anger, your sins and the way you’ve been shaping your reality. Do you understand that you not taking RESPONSIBILITY of your actions and words and shadows and choices and giving away your power for others to deal with, giving away your time and letting others DECIDE your life, your path and your schedule was never the best way. God always tried to nudge you to see the bigger picture, His ways, but you had to be paying attention and seek Him and look for wisdom and lol for it as for treasures and ultimately admit that: your way wasn’t the best way, there’s a higher way and it’s always Gos who was it control of that, not you. Even if you tried, even if you shouted and kicked and stayed in the old ways, but then you started to become uncomfortable there and so you have to surrender more and more and more and… suddenly you realize His ways are the good thing in your life, His ways are feeling incredibly different and peaceful and just right in your heart, you start realizing that He is more than you taught he was… He is the God Almighty and knows you inside out, already knows what you’ll do in the next year and what’s your quirks and how you want to be perceived and the most embarrassing thing about you, yet from a father’s perspective and with a fatherly love and appreciation and tenderness. He was always the real one. And… you just ignored that… ouch?! I feel you, but it’s true, yet here you are❤️ back home to Abba🙏🏻
As David did with his psalms, use prayer to ventilate vertically. Tell God your frustrations. Cry out to him. He’s never surprised or upset by your anger, hurt, insecurity, or any other emotions. So tell him exactly how you feel.
Most conflict is rooted in unmet needs. Some of these needs can only be met by God. When you expect anyone—a friend, spouse, boss, or family member—to meet a need that only God can fulfill, you are setting yourself up for disappointment and bitterness. No one can meet all of your needs except God.
The apostle James noted that many of our conflicts are caused by prayerlessness: “What causes fights and quarrels among you? . . . You want something but don’t get it. . . . You do not have, because you do not ask God.” 9 Instead of looking to God, we look to others to make us happy and then get angry when they fail us. God says, “Why don’t you come to me first?”
If you want God’s blessing on your life and you want to be known as a child of God, you must learn to be a peacemaker.
Jesus said, “God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.” 7 Notice Jesus didn’t say, “Blessed are the peace lovers,” because everyone loves peace. Neither did he say, “Blessed are the peaceable,” who are never disturbed by anything.
Jesus said, “Blessed are those who work for peace”— those who actively seek to resolve conflict. Peacemakers are rare because peacemaking is hard work.
Because life is all about learning how to love, God wants us to value relationships and make the effort to maintain them instead of discarding them whenever there is a rift, a hurt, or a conflict.
In fact, the Bible tells us that God has given us the ministry of restoring relationships. For this reason a significant amount of the New Testament is devoted to teaching us how to get along with one another.
Paul wrote, “If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, . . . Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends.”
It is your job to protect the unity of your church. Unity in the church is so important that the New Testament gives more attention to it than to either heaven or hell.
Most of all, let love guide your life, for then the whole church will stay together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3:14 (LB)
Day 19 — Verse to Remember: “We understand what love is when we realize that Christ gave his life for us. That means we must give our lives for other believers.” 1 John 3:16 (GWT)
Question to Consider: How can I help cultivate today the characteristics of real community in my small group and my church?
Don’t try to act important, but enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!” 13 To the Christians in Philippi he wrote, “Give more honor to others than to yourselves. Do not be interested only in your own life, but be interested in the lives of others.”
Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less. Humility is thinking more of others. Humble people are so focused on serving others, they don’t think of themselves.
“No more lies, no more pretense. Tell your neighbor the truth. In Christ’s body we’re all connected to each other, after all.”
When you lie to others, you end up lying to yourself.”
Paul
Real fellowship, whether in a marriage, a friendship, or your church, depends on frankness. In fact, the tunnel of conflict is the passageway to intimacy in any relationship. Until you care enough to confront and resolve the underlying barriers, you will never grow close to each other. When conflict is handled correctly, we grow closer to each other by facing and resolving our differences.
The Bible says, “In the end, people appreciate frankness more than flattery.”
