Zandi Sussex, if you're going to criticise Prince William, at least bother to share the actual information rather than a sensational headline.

Prince William did not declare that he personally would “solve homelessness” across the UK by 2028. Homewards is a five-year programme working in six pilot locations, bringing together councils, charities, businesses and experts to develop and demonstrate ways of preventing homelessness and making it rare, brief and unrepeated.

The idea is to test these different projects, to see how they can scale them on a small level BEFORE hopefully launching them on a larger scale! A little research would help this woman, so she didn't look silly! 🙄

And the part conveniently left out? Homewards has already reported helping more than 2,400 people avoid homelessness, supporting more than 250 people into employment, keeping dozens of individuals and families in stable homes, and attracting millions of pounds of investment into prevention work.

Yes, homelessness has risen in several of the pilot areas — but presenting national and local increases in homelessness as though they prove Prince William's initiative has “failed” ignores the enormous structural causes behind those figures: shortages of affordable and social housing, rising rents, house prices and other economic pressures.

Homewards isn't the government, Prince William doesn't control housing policy, and a pilot programme cannot magically override a nationwide housing crisis.

If you're going to post about something this serious, share the full picture instead of cherry-picking a headline because it suits the narrative. Proper information isn't difficult to find — you just have to be bothered to look for it.

Morning all! Just a quick correction from my interview yesterday. I realised afterwards that I mistakenly said Prince Archie would be going into Year 4. I meant Prince Louis, who will be going into Year 4; Archie will be going into Year 3. Apologies for the mix-up!

While I’m here, I also wanted to address some of the comments I’ve received following the interview.

Some people were unhappy that I didn’t speak more critically about Harry and Meghan, particularly regarding the hurt and breakdown of trust within the Royal Family over the past few years. My own views haven’t suddenly changed. I’ve been open before about the fact that I haven’t agreed with a number of their actions, including what I felt was a lack of respect towards the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

Does the possibility of Harry and Meghan spending more time in the UK mean I’m suddenly going to start regularly reporting on them again? No. They are not working members of the Royal Family, and I haven’t regularly covered them for years. I just can't stand the drama connected to the couple so I stay clear.

However, I am a royal journalist, so when opportunities come along to discuss a major royal story on radio or television, of course I’m going to take them. It's important for me to take them because it's what journalists do. Appearing on programmes such as LBC to discuss the situation does not mean I’ve suddenly become a Sussex supporter, nor does speaking about them professionally mean that I endorse their past behaviour.

There is also an important distinction between expressing personal opinions online and appearing on regulated broadcast media. When I’m invited onto radio or television, I have a responsibility to be professional, measured and accurate. I’m not going to present speculation as fact or use inflammatory labels about people on air. In my LBC interview, I did make the point that there would understandably be questions and concerns surrounding why they might be returning.

And finally, saying that I wish Harry and Meghan well is simply basic courtesy. It doesn’t mean forgetting everything that has happened, changing my opinions or suddenly becoming a fan. You can disagree strongly with someone’s behaviour while still speaking about them professionally on radio etc.

That is exactly what I intend to continue doing as a journalist. Hopefully this is the last post I have to make explaining myself about Harry and Meghan.

Anyway thanks for all the love and support and I hope to see you in the next report ❤️👑

Please tell me why, since the reports about #PrinceHarry and #MeghanMarkle potentially returning to the UK, some people have immediately turned it into another excuse to attack #PrinceWilliam and #PrincessofWales. 🙄

I've already seen posts confidently declaring that Prince William will be "jealous", "fuming", desperate to ramp up his schedule or constantly trying to overshadow his brother.

Based on what, exactly?

None of these critics know Prince William personally. They don't know what he's thinking, what conversations may have taken place privately within the family, or even how long the Royal Family may have known about these reported plans. If the reports are true, it's entirely possible discussions have been happening privately for weeks.

It's perfectly reasonable for Royal watchers to be surprised by the news. What's ridiculous is critics taking that surprise and using it to invent thoughts and emotions for Prince William just so they have something negative to say about him.

Why does everything have to become an opportunity for abuse?

Maybe Prince William isn't "fuming". Maybe he isn't sitting around plotting how to overshadow his brother. Maybe he's simply getting on with his own life.

He's currently on his summer break with his family. Come September, William and Catherine have a significant family milestone with Prince George reportedly beginning at Eton, while Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis return to school. Then they'll have their own work, engagements and responsibilities to get back to.

Whatever Prince William privately thinks about Harry and Meghan's reported return is his business - and unless he actually tells us, none of us know, so critics speculating is not only disrespectful but completely out of order.

There's a huge difference between discussing what might happen and confidently announcing that someone "must be jealous", "must be furious" or "will definitely try to overshadow them".

Sometimes it feels as though the actual news is almost irrelevant to certain people. It's simply another opportunity to project the worst possible motives onto William and Catherine and then attack them for thoughts they've never even expressed.

You can't invent someone's feelings and then abuse them for the feelings you invented. 🙄

BREAKING: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly set to move back to the UK later this month, according to multiple media reports.

The couple relocated to the United States in March 2020 with their son, Archie, who was almost one at the time. They later welcomed their daughter, Lilibet, while living in California.

According to reports, Archie, now seven, and Lilibet, five, are expected to begin attending a British school in September, while the Sussex family will reportedly live in a private, non-royal residence outside London.

Just to make something clear before anyone starts thinking I’m suddenly going to be regularly reporting on Harry and Meghan - I’m covering this because it is breaking royal news and a significant development involving the wider Royal Family.

Good luck to them on their move if this is true! Hope it's a safe one.

STATEMENT FROM LYDIA’S MANAGEMENT:

As Lydia’s management team, we have had enough of the persistent allegations and rumours being circulated about her. We have therefore reviewed the content ourselves and gathered the evidence that many of her so-called “critics” apparently haven't bothered to look for.

Lydia has repeatedly been accused of being “obsessed” with Prince Harry and Meghan. Her actual posting history simply does not support that narrative. She rarely reports on them now. Where she has covered them previously, she has expressed journalistic opinions about their public work, interviews and criticism of the Royal Family. Criticism of a public figure's professional output is not personal abuse.

More seriously, people have accused Lydia of attacking Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Again, look at the evidence rather than the rumour. We have shared examples of Lydia's posts concerning Archie and Lilibet over several years, which have been respectful and kind. Lydia does not tolerate abuse of children—Sussex or Wales.

Our business also operates a specific child-safety policy, created with Lydia's involvement, which she follows. Lydia is DBS checked and takes safeguarding responsibilities seriously.

For months, Lydia has faced people spreading allegations about her, scrutinising her personal life and repeatedly presenting assumptions as facts. Being a public-facing journalist means accepting criticism. It does not mean accepting harassment, stalking behaviour or the endless repetition of demonstrably false allegations for somebody else's entertainment.

This is where we draw the line.

If you have a genuine complaint about Lydia or her work, contact management directly at lydiaamanagement@gmail.com. We have a complaints process and will consider legitimate concerns professionally. Do NOT email her personally, or email people she privately works with- this is a harassment and it will be dealt with as such. If you have an issue, please email us, we deal with ALL public enquiries and complaints about our public clients including Lydia.

From this point forward, potentially defamatory allegations, threats, harassment and concerning behaviour directed towards Lydia will be documented and retained by management. Where we believe conduct may cross a legal or safeguarding threshold, the material may be provided to the appropriate authorities, including the police.

I wasn’t going to address this, but I’ve had enough this summer of rumours being spread about me by people who don’t know me, haven’t spoken to me and clearly haven’t bothered to look at my work.

I’ve been a royal journalist for eight years and have followed the Royal Family for around thirteen. I love my job, and I do it alongside several other jobs and commitments.

Recently, somebody accused me of being unfair towards Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Let me be absolutely clear: I have never attacked or belittled them EVER. I rarely report on Archie and Lilibet at all, or their parents, because my coverage predominantly focuses on working members of the Royal Family.

I was also once a huge supporter of Harry and Meghan. I covered their wedding and continued supporting them after they stepped back. My opinion changed because of their public actions, and I'm entitled to comment on those as a journalist. Criticising somebody’s interviews, books or public statements is not hatred, racism or an attack on their children.

Unfortunately, there is an extreme minority within the Sussex Squad who have made reporting on Harry and Meghan incredibly toxic. I’ve received abuse and threats simply for expressing an opinion. Yet some of the same circles will tolerate appalling comments about Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis while demanding that everybody else speaks about Archie and Lilibet in exactly the way they approve of. That double standard is ridiculous.

And no, to the person who messaged me saying I must control my comments sections, I cannot personally control every comment underneath my content. Nobody realistically can. If I see something abusive or disgusting, I remove or report it. But I will not sit on social media 24/7 monitoring every word people write.

Unfortunately, this is about the minority who think disagreement gives them permission to harass, threaten or spread accusations about people they don't know.

I always spread love and respect always and follow guidelines set out usually by IPSO!

But don't invent views for me and then attack me for things I never said. If you want to know what I stand for, look at my work.

Thank you to those who spread, love and respect always to all even the royals I report about, I truly appreciate it. Hope you're all well ❤️👑
