I’ll never forget how hard this breakup was.
Four years together. We moved from Tennessee to LA in my beat-up '88 Buick Century, wide-eyed and ready to take the world by storm. But LA had shinier things — and they caught his attention. The city gave him everything. And I felt like nothing.

He was my first love.
Eventually, he had a new boyfriend.
I dated here and there… but mostly, I mourned what I thought would be forever.

And LA, the city that held all my favorite memories, became the place I couldn’t breathe anymore.
Leaving was the only way to let go.

This is the song that helped me pack up, gas up, and finally drive away.
It’s called Still Around.

Before the Tony. Before Broadway. There was this song.
"Hardly The Hero” became the theme for the 2007 indie rom-com Kiss The Bride — starring Tori Spelling — and to everyone’s surprise, the music video climbed the Logo Channel countdown and stayed there long enough to be voted #1 Music Video of 2007.

Directed by C. Jay Cox (Latter Days, Kiss The Bride) and featuring footage from the film, this video introduced my music to a national LGBTQ+ audience and helped define a moment in queer cinema.

It’s a little piece of history — and today, it finally lives on YouTube.

Coming Tuesday, Dec. 11th - River

Hey subscribers! I'm excited to share the official music video for Joni Mitchell's classic "River".

I knew there was a gorgeous rock quarry a short distance from my house. Had I known exactly where it was, I could've shaved a couple miles off of my 6 mile hike. Nevertheless, I found it and I was right. It is the perfect backdrop for the song.

I didn't anticipate the visual impact of a couple unexpected findings and how they would contribute to the video. At the end of the day, I realized that this sojourn had it's own story to tell.
