There's plenty of memories that will live on my mind when it comes to "Poppa" Don Myers. Yet, these will stick out forever.
1) Going fishing at Bluebell Beach in Flint, Michigan (before the water crisis) when I was still in my 20s. I accidentally broke a fishing line of his, but he didn't go off (at least until he was away from me 😂). I was hoping to buy him a new one soon. I may still do it and give it to one of his grandkids. 😎
2) Riding with him back and forth to Shreveport just to cruise, laugh, and listen to ol skool music. Shooting the breeze with him was laid back. Anyone who was around him knows what I mean.
3) His comic book memorabilia was immaculate! You felt like you was in a historical museum when it came to his collection. I still have a couple of the Spider-Man items he gave me (since he knows Spidey's my guy).
4) July 15th, 2016. That day was when I asked Lakeisha Smith-Greenard to be my wife...on his and Aunt Rita Myers' porch in Springhill. That video still is viral, but the smile on his face was bigger than life. That...and Aunt Rita's "I got that TOOOO" sticks out. 😂
I can go on and on, but I've already wrote a novel. Hopefully, he knew how much I loved him. That's one of my Uncles and he will never be forgotten. ✝️🙏❤️

Brothers, hear me well.
You might think pursuing women, stacking money, and living as a perpetual bachelor is "lit". Let me tell you that YOU...HAVE...BEEN...DUPED! The real LIFE you should seek is to seek to be of God and to be a family man. While I don't claim to know it all or have it all together, I do know that my life is better by seeking God and loving my wife and daughter.
There's stories behind this photo, but there's no regrets in it. Trust me.
I love these two ladies dearly! I pray for them and pray that I do better by them. As long as I live, I want to do better and be better. That's the blessing. When you have God and family, they challenge you to go further and be better.
Walk away from the lust of the eye, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. Seek Jesus and settle into be a man of faith, family, structure, and standards. Be who God wants you to be.

I know, I know. It's easier said than done. Someone did you wrong. Your boss is overbearing. Your spouse is trippin'. You may have experience church hurt. There's a litany of reasons why you feel upset. In Ephesians 4, the Word says you can be mad, BUT you can't sin nor give place to satan. In other words, give it to God & let Him handle it. Don't seek vengeance. That's God's responsibility. You just move forward in Him, forgive the offenders, and trust God at His Word. ✝️🙏
