We are a cow calf operation! The first step of the beef cattle cycle! These calves that being born this month will stay with their mom until weaning. We then sell them to a stocker operation where they will continue to graze and grow them and last they will go a feed lot! The calves will be almost two years old and 1200 lbs before going to processing!

Farming looks mighty easy when your plow is a pencil and you're a thousand miles from the corn field. - Dwight Eisenhower

When the former president said this quote over 68 yrs ago, he was on the hill speaking to different politicians about the different farm policies that will help farmers. This quote still holds true even today!

People are getting further and further removed from working the plow and more and more people are becoming the pencil.

On social media, it is really easy to criticize & judge people's operations and way of life and not have a clue on how hard the work and life truly is.

There have been many changes in agriculture since 1956. In the 1950s, farmers made up more than 12% of the workforce. Today, farmers and ranchers make up just 1.3% of the U.S. labor market.

In a time where consumers are truly curious about where their food comes from, farmers have a massive opportunity to reach those who truly are a thousand miles from a corn field.

With millions of active users in the U.S. alone, social media allows farmers to create connections like never before.

Don't criticize farming and ranching!

We are families that are running more than just a business but are living a way of precious but hard way of life that is suppose to feed a population that is increasing. work against policies that make our jobs harder, deal with extreme activist groups, and deal with a keyboard happy generation that's never stepped foot on a farm.
