Why I still choose handloom…

Because it reminds me of the sarees we grew up seeing around us - on our mothers, aunts, teachers, neighbours. There was always something so graceful about the way they wore them, without making a big occasion out of it.

I’ve always loved sitting on the stairs; even as a child, it somehow felt like my own little corner. That’s where I used to sit and imagine what life might look like when I grew up.

As a teenager, the dreams became bigger - studies, career, the kind of person I wanted to become, the life I hoped to build.
So many plans were made on those steps, without knowing which ones would really happen.

Even now, sitting on a staircase takes me straight back to that version of me who was always thinking about the future. Some of those dreams changed, some came true, and some took me in completely unexpected directions.
