Irish police confirmed that five individuals, including three small children, were admitted to the hospital today after a stabbing incident in Dublin's city centre. The injured have been taken to different hospitals, including children's Health Ireland at Crumlin and the Mater Hospital, as per RTE reports

According to the authorities, two of the youngsters are receiving treatment for less serious wounds, while one girl has suffered critical injuries. According to authorities, an adult male has less significant injuries while an adult female is also receiving treatment for serious injuries.

The victims were stabbed near Dublin's Parnell Square, which is close to O'Connell Street, the city's main thoroughfare.

The primary suspect has been placed under arrest and is thought to have self-inflicted wounds. Early reports indicated that a man attempted to attack many young people, but onlookers stepped in to stop him.
