Stopping someone from talking about ideas you disagree with is arguably worse then letting them speak freely about those ideas.

We used to persecute people who thought the world was round.

Then we combatted that idea with better evidence.

If we suppressed people from saying the earth was round when most believed it was flat we’d probably be much further behind intellectually as a civilisation.

I used to feel guilty for this. But if I can make more money in the dozens of hours I spend doing mundane repetitive tasks than it’s just unemotional math.

If you’re not motivated as much by money I promise you you won’t wish you cleaned and cooked more on your deathbed.

You’ll wish you spent more time with people you love and experienced more life.

Isn’t that worth your pride and $100 a week?

They will take your spot on the team/customers/clients because they are better prepared than you.

This is coming from someone with $70,000 in student debt who mostly loved their degree and got a ton out of it.


Now speaking for the majority...

You know how they say "P's get degrees."

But P's don't get you shit in the real world.

P's shouldn't get degrees. They should get their money back and be told to try again, but harder.

Don't you think it's strange how one student can scrape with a 50% passing grade while another can bust ass with a 85% passing grade?

Those two people shouldn't get the same degree.

You should be rewarded based on results, not merely effort.

This is just one of many reasons why the value of a university degree is less than it ever has been.
