Well… I asked Jackie to marry me again.

Apparently, after putting up with me, my cars, my crazy ideas and everything else that has come along over the last 25 years, she has decided to make the same mistake twice. She said yes!

All joking aside, I honestly don’t know how I got this lucky. Jackie has stood beside me through everything, supported more questionable decisions than anyone reasonably should, and made my life better simply by being part of it.

I’ve always told Dylan that one of the most important decisions he will ever make is choosing the woman he shares his life with. Meet the right woman and your life can be fantastic. Meet the wrong one and it can be hell.

I was fortunate enough to meet the right one.

Jackie, you make me happier than I could ever properly put into words. I’m incredibly proud of the life we’ve built, and I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble we can get ourselves into over the next 25 years.

And of course, we aren’t doing this the easy way…

Wait until you guys see the road trip we have planned. This one is going to be big. ❤️

I wanted to give a shout-out to channel member Bob Pye from London, Ontario, and his awesome ’89 Mustang coupe.

Bob built this car largely by himself, working out of a car-and-a-half garage. It’s a simple, old-school combination: a stock 302, Explorer heads and a B-cam—and it has run 12.51 at 109 mph with a full interior!

What makes it even better is that Bob drove the car 50 minutes to the track with his tools and tires loaded in the back, raced it and then drove it home. No trailer. Just a genuinely fast street car built the way many of us would have done it in the ’90s or early 2000s.

Bob also told me that Altered Stangs has been an inspiration to him over the years. Hearing something like that means more to me than I can properly put into words. It’s easy to get caught up in views and subscriber numbers, but this is what the channel is really supposed to be about—inspiring people to get into the garage, work with what they have and enjoy their cars.

Congratulations, Bob. You built one hell of a cool Fox Body, and thank you for sharing your story with us.

Two days to go.

The DECH Mustang is still surrounded by tools, soldering irons, and a driveway that looks like a hurricane hit it. 😅

A leaking heater core, a split radiator hose to replace, a few more jobs to knock off… and we haven’t even cleaned it yet!

Which also means no heat for Jackie on the drive to Dearborn… and I have a feeling I’m going to hear about that the whole way there! 😂

Early Saturday morning, we point the DECH Mustang toward Motor City Fox Fest.

This will be the first serious highway trip since bringing this car back to life after it blew up and was left undriveable.

Two days left…

What, me worry? 😆

The countdown is on…

August 8th can’t get here soon enough!

Jackie and I are getting one of the rarest Fox bodies we’ve ever owned—our DECH Mustang—ready for another road trip, this time to Motor City Fox Fest.

This car has a story. It wasn’t built to sit under a cover… it was built to be driven.

Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be getting everything ready before pointing the DECH Mustang toward Dearborn for one of our favourite Fox-body events of the year.

I would like to give a big shout out to Taunton Tire and Foxfest Peterborough. I entered the burnout contest at Foxfest this year and took second place. Thankfully I received a $250 gift certificate courtesy of Taunton Tire.
Today I went there for new tires. It was a very good experience and the customer service was amazing.
