There is no justification for immorality in Christ.

B.I.C. Abeiku Okai

I am a strong and firm believer in the indisputable fact that you don't need morality to be saved. That's to say we are not saved because we are morally perfect as religious folks would want us to believe.

In a recent Facebook post, I asked if a person who is morally upright but doesn't have Christ will be saved. The overwhelming majority agrees that salvation is only through faith in Christ, not morality.

That notwithstanding, it is important to mention that even though we don't need good works or morality to be saved, there is no argument against the fact that good works are necessary requirements for life when one is born into this Kingdom. While God bestows grace and mercy upon all erring believers, there is still no excuse or justification for immorality if you are in Christ.

Some folks would quote Romans 8:1 and say, "There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ." Yes, that's true. But no condemnation doesn't mean license to sin or permission to wallow in immorality without being pricked by your conscience towards repentance. John says,

"And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure." (1st John 3:3).

Whoever has positive hope in Christ and assurance of salvation, looking onto the coming of the Lord, lives as Christ lives. You cannot hope in Christ for salvation and yet live your life without any conscience to glorify God in your body. Paul said,

"For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." (1st Cor. 6:20).

God didn't pay the price for your salvation for you to continue in a sinful lifestyle. He desires that you glorify Him in your body. Jesus said,

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matt. 5:16).

Christ is your light. And one of the ways you make Christ shine better in your life is to let your good works be seen by men. This is not a man-pleasing self-righteous attitude. It is a life of sanctified worship towards the Christ - a necessary part of your commitment and public worship of the Lord. Romans 12:1-2 says,

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your REASONABLE service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

In the Old Covenant, they sacrificed dead animals, which also meant that their worship and good works were as good as dead animals. But for you, since you are alive unto God, your sacrifice is a living one, known as good works, not dead works. So it is logical (reasonable) for you to present your body as a living sacrifice to the glory of God.

James concluded his letter to the Gentiles who were being wrongly coerced to abide by the Law of Moses, and said,

"For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. IF YOU KEEP YOURSELVES FROM THESE, YOU WILL DO WELL. Farewell." (Acts 15:28-29).

While the Holy Spirit would not lay the burden of the law of Moses upon us, the Lord still wants us to do well on earth and in ministry by living above reproach. As a believer, if you live a morally upright life with integrity, you will do well in your service to the Lord, and you will be trusted with greater grace. You cannot serve God and be unperturbed by immorality. God forbid!

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:1-4).

You were justified and sanctified once through the death and resurrection of Christ. However, you need to yield to the Holy Spirit for your ongoing sanctification so that you can bear fruits of repentance according to the workings of God's grace upon your life.

"Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, FOR YOU ARE NOT UNDER LAW BUT UNDER GRACE." (Romans 6:12-14).

God bless you and give you strength in His grace to overcome all weaknesses of the flesh, the tongue, and the thoughts.

WE CAN'T PAMPER FALSE DOCTRINE AND FALSE BRETHREN IN THE NAME OF UNITY.

Abeiku Okai

The unity of the faith does not mean we should accept everybody, every teaching, and everything that comes in the name of God. The Bible gives strong warnings against manners and doctrines contrary to the foundational doctrine of Christ. The proponents of such erroneous and heretic ways of life and teaching, the Bible warns us to avoid. Paul wrote to the Thessalonians, commanding them:

"But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us." (2nd Thess. 3:6)

God allows separation. It is a good thing to withdraw from people or ministers not walking according to the doctrines of Christ. John even put it more harshly:

"10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, DO NOT RECEIVE HIM INTO YOUR HOUSE NOR GREET HIM; 11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds." - 2nd John 1:10-11

Paul again warned the Romans:

"Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and AVOID THEM. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple." (Romans 16:17-18)

Today, we seem to want to accept everything, everyone, and every doctrine because opposing and rejecting such doctrines and ministers would seem to the world that we are not one. What is unity? What is oneness? Is it the objective truth of Christ that unites us or the lame acceptance of subjective opinions and sensual and manipulative ways of man that unite us?

Why can't we be hard against heresies and falsehood? Why do we think that attacking wrong doctrine is not necessary when the Apostles did not spare anyone and any doctrine contrary to the truth? Have we become world pleasers?

John Lennox said, "Nonsense is nonsense even when spoken by world-famous scientists.”

In the same way, false doctrine is false even when spoken by the greatest preacher. That's why Paul warned the Galatians,

"8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:6-9)

Why did the Jews persecute the Apostles? Why did the Romans hate the Christians? Was it not because they were opposed to Jewish religious practices and Roman paganism? Why did they write letters, which today we call the Epistles? Is it not factual that most of the Epistles were written to vehemently oppose and expose false brethren and false doctrine?

Why do we think following the footsteps of the Apostles to expose and root out false doctrine is wrong in our generation? Are we seeking the hand clap of men or the protection of God's sheep from demonic deceptions and agents of Satan who parade themselves as ministers of God?

God wants us to be careful and jealously guard the sheep.

"Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood. For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears." (Acts 20:28-31).

I just couldn't believe the scripture below is in the Bible. If it's in your Bible, then think twice when you oppose the effort to deal ruthlessly with false brethren and false doctrine according to the scriptures.

"For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain. One of them, a prophet of their own, said, 'Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.' This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth." (Titus 1:10-14)

John 10:1,10
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber... The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Abeiku Okai writes:

After enduring stress with amazing resilience for 126hrs singing without sleeping, the fear among some Ghanaians is whether officials from the Guinness Book of Records will certify her. However, the majority of Ghanaians see no need for that worry because, whether she is verified or not, she has already won our hearts, put Ghana and Ghanaian music on the map, inspired many young ladies, and proven that you don't need to be a professional, an expert, or a slay queen to make a difference.

My personal inspiration from this is that life is not only about the result but also the process. Many overly fix their eyes on the goal, forgetting to enjoy and be satisfied with the thrill and adventure of the journey.

While I agree that the goal is crucial, it isn't always where our total focus should be. Sometimes, just enjoy the ride and endure the mile. Do your best and leave the rest to the final arbiter. As Paul said, "I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase." - 1st Cor. 3:6.

Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum has planted with determination and pride. Ghanaians have watered her effort amazingly. Let's leave the rest to the Guinness Book of Records. Whatever the outcome, she is our heroine.

Congratulations, great woman.

The most beautiful spice of life is adventure, not perfectionism or professionalism. You don't have to be a star to shine or even gold to glitter. Just be yourself and go where lions dread and eagles fear to soar.

Your attempt to achieve this Guinness World Record feat of the Longest Songathon by an individual has not come easy and will not go easy, not because it is a difficult thing to achieve but because you will hit the rocks of people who do nothing and yet have no pleasure in seeing others succeed.

Yours is to focus and cross the mile. Ghana is proud of you. My kids are enjoying you every single moment. And as a parent, I want to thank you for inspiring our kids this festive season, Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum

MY STRUGGLE WITH DEPRESSION.

Abeiku Okai

Years ago, I used to grapple with chronic depression. It was so severe that I spent hours alone, crying and feeling hopeless about my future. During this time, I began writing inspirational articles as a way to cope with my problems. One of the articles I wrote was titled "The Way Up When You're Down."

But what was the root cause of my ongoing battle with depression? It was simple: I was making too many mistakes and worrying too much about what people would say and think about me.

One day, I made a strong decision: it no longer mattered whether I was making mistakes or not, whether I was right or wrong, whether I was praised or criticized, or whether people would speak positively or negatively about me. Once I reached that conclusion, I felt free.

If you observe me closely, you'll see that I am an "I-Don't-Care" kind of person. I'm always on the go, doing something. I speak my mind on any subject or topic I think is important for me to address. I make bold decisions, and while I have failed many times, I have never failed to make an impact despite those failures. I write about almost anything as long as I believe it will inspire someone. I don't follow a straight path—some people say I'm not stable. But it doesn't matter anymore because I've stopped living in the shadows of critics and those who never take any action but judge my actions. I've stopped worrying about my mistakes; instead, I focus on my strengths.

I don't know if you're facing any kind of worry or depression because of your mistakes or what people are saying or will say about you. What I do know is that neither your errors nor the negative words of others can change your destiny. After all, there is no one doing something worth doing who doesn't make mistakes. And there is no person of worth who isn't criticized.

Learn to focus on what's important to you and let go of anything that doesn't inspire or motivate you. Surround yourself with people who support and encourage you to keep trying, even if you face setbacks or failures. If you fail, don't give up—try again with pride and determination. Remember, it is often our challenges and struggles that ultimately lead us to success.

What is Marriage according to the Bible?

2 years ago | [YT] | 5

Abeiku Okai Ministries (AOM)

This is the story you must hear. Let me share it with you.

First of all, I want to thank you all for sharing in the joy with us and congratulating Mummy. It's been a tough journey for her, but with determination, she crossed and ready to cross even more rivers by grace.

Now, it was on August 13, 2012, when we met. She had seen my number on TV that very day and called to request the purchase of a nursing form to further her education. At the time, I was an agent for the school. She traveled all the way from Kumasi to Senya Beraku, a distance of 265km (5hrs), just to get the form from me when she could have gone to Sunyani, which spans a distance of 123km (less than 3hrs).

We struck a divine acquaintance immediately, as though we had known each other for ages. And the reason is that she was and still is just blissful to be around. A very innocent soul, with a never-ending smiling face, touched by unique beauty and a cute personality. It did not take a month after meeting to make my intention for marriage clear to her. She had no hesitation to marry me, as she would later tell me, "When I was coming to Senya, I kept hearing a voice that said, 'You will marry the man you are going to meet.'"

She immediately gave me the green light to visit her parents in Kumasi to formally request her hand in marriage. Surprisingly, I had a friend from the USA (a Peace Corps volunteer) who invited me to a conference in Kumasi. Off we went, and I met her father. To cut a long story short, her father said to me, "You cannot marry her now because she has to further her education, since she just completed Senior High School."

I responded calmly, "Daddy, please allow me to marry her. I promise I will let her further her education." I think I sounded very convincing, and her father gave me his right hand of fellowship. Before him, I presented her promise ring and had the knocking done immediately.

The funny truth is that, at the time I was penniless. I had just completed my national service and was trying to find my feet in life. It was one of the most difficult moments of my life - a time of desperation and confusion about the purpose and direction of my life. But she found hope in me and became the cushion upon which my heart rested. I don't praise my wife because she is faultless or perfect. It's just my way of being grateful for her choosing me and giving me the respect and peace that eludes many marriages - it's just by grace. And we don't take that for granted or presume to be our making. Idi Yompo!

When eventually we married, seven months after we first met, my promise to her Dad stayed with me. After our first two children, by the grace of God, she got enrolled in the University of Education, Winneba. Our third born came through in the process, but the rest is history. If she didn't have the will to further her education and thought that marriage was the end of the road for her, this dream would never have come to pass. I have always held the notion that neither giving birth nor marriage should hinder any woman or wife from moving forward in life. It's not about acquiring money, riding in a car, or traveling across the globe. We don't have material things or natural hopes to lean on. What we do have is a home filled with the Holy Spirit and reliance on the providence of God each day. And we don't wait for big successes before we celebrate the goodness of God. Every goal is worth celebrating before the end of the match or the tournament.

The full story will be in our book, "HOW WE MET, MARRIED AND LIVE - God's Providence in a Marriage Relationship."

Thus, the very reason I am joyful is that after 10 years of making the promise, it has been fulfilled not by might nor by power, but by the Spirit of the Lord, and the help of several people whose names I cannot mention for lack of space. That's why we always say, "Idi Yompo." It is the Lord.

Hope this inspires you to trust God, be determined and push forward in life, whether you are single or married. If you are single and trusting God for marriage, I pray that the grace that rests upon us also become your portion in Jesus Name. If you are married, I pray that the Lord gives you peace and joy in marriage in Jesus Name.

Bible verses to help:

"Live happily with the woman you love through all the meaningless days of life that God has given you under the sun. The wife God gives you is your reward for all your earthly toil." - Eccl. 9:9 NLT

"Let thy fountain be blessed: And rejoice with the wife of thy youth. Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; Let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; And be thou ravished always with her love." - Proverbs 5:18-19 KJV

"Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life." Prov. 31:10-12 KJV

WHAT DID JESUS SAY ETERNAL LIFE IS?

Jesus definition of eternal life is in John 17:3;

"And this is eternal life, *that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent*."

In John 3, Jesus told Nichodemus he must be born again. But to be born again is a description of the process of gaining eternal life. It is not rhe definition of eternal life. Eternal Life is to KNOW GOD.

To know God is not to gain head knowledge about God or gobble up scriptures and quote here and there. To know God is a Hebrew proverb or proverbial phrase that means to have acquantance or very close relationship with God. It is also used to indicate sexual unity between a husband and wife. In Genesis 4:1 the Bible says,

"Now *Adam knew Eve his wife,* and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, “I have acquired a man from the LORD.”

In Bible interpretation there is something called The Law of First Mention, this law indicates that the meaning of a text can also be examined through the first time it was mentioned in the Bible. Therefore, since the first time the phrase, 'to know' is in Genesis 4, then we can have a better understanding of it from there.

Adam knew his wife and she got pregnant and gave birth. This means to know God is to have intimate relationship with God, leading to conception and delivery. What I mean is that eternal life gives you the opportunity to have and build a very strong bond with God. And as a result you become pregnant with the seed of God and also deliver whatever fruit or benefit that seed has.

1st John 3:9 says,

"Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for *His seed remains in him;* and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God."

The seed of God, which you become a possessor of when you gain eternal life, gives you victory over sin. Jesus said you will have life abundantly. Abundant life overflows just as a woman who has received seed from her husband gets pregnant and delivers another life. A pregnant woman is an abundant woman. Her big belly is not just a protruding flesh but an indication of her abundance. It is an evidence of the presence of a life in her. The same is spiritually seen when you gain eternal life. You become so filled with life that you become a carrier of it and proceed to deliver it. That's amazing!

Family, eternal life is not just about going to heaven. It is fully about a marriage relationship with God. It is about becoming absolutely one with God and fully representing Him on earth.

Jesus said, "I and my Father are one", the reason they are one is because they have the same life. You cannot separate Christ from God. Hence, when you also gain eternal life, you cannot be separated from God. That's stunning and unbelievable. But that's what eternal life is just about.

"And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. (John 10:28-29).

Paul told the Corinthians,

"But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him." (1st Cor. 6:17).

Therefore, if you have eternal life, know that you are not ordinary. You have the Godlife in you and you are in the richest relationship and also pregnant with the seed of God. You become a victor, not a victim. And because you carry the seed of God, it becomes God's responsibility to protect, provide and direct your life just as a husband would do for his wife.
