There is a line between dissent and anti-India rhetoric — and Umar Khalid’s public record repeatedly crosses it.

From Supporting Afzal Guru and Burhan Wani to slogans around Kashmir’s “Azadi”, “self-determination” and “Indian occupation”, these are not positions that can simply be brushed aside as harmless activism.

Disagreement can be tolerated, but rhetoric that questions India’s sovereignty and integrity can never be normalised.
