On 2 September 2026, youth in Jammu & Kashmir are set to protest against the JKNC Government’s recruitment policies, with concerns centred on job outsourcing, backdoor appointments and lack of transparency in recruitment.

For aspirants who spend years preparing and waiting for vacancies, the demand is clear: merit, fair competition, equal opportunity and transparent recruitment must come first.

JKNC Govt must answer: How long should J&K’s youth keep waiting for a fair chance?

There is a line between dissent and anti-India rhetoric — and Umar Khalid’s public record repeatedly crosses it.

From Supporting Afzal Guru and Burhan Wani to slogans around Kashmir’s “Azadi”, “self-determination” and “Indian occupation”, these are not positions that can simply be brushed aside as harmless activism.

Disagreement can be tolerated, but rhetoric that questions India’s sovereignty and integrity can never be normalised.
