[IMPORTANT!!! + RANT THINGY]

So I just learned that BandLab (the DAW I use) has paywalled their ENTIRE sample library which is the ONE thing I rely on for making music. Now ALL of my unfinished tracks on BandLab are stuck in an indefinite state of “Can’t add anything.” and there’s nothing I can do about it except be forced to pay $15 for a subscription every month. All of my unfinished music is pretty much being held hostage by a fucking subscription service. I ain’t got no money and even if I did, I ain’t paying because I know it’s just gonna get worse overtime.

It’s like what happened to FlipaClip and CapCut all over again. A good service / tool for work until one day, it wasn’t anymore. That day, it always just so happens that some guy upstairs gets the idea of locking behind a vital part of a service to legally and effectively extort money from its users. I really should’ve expected this when they added ads and started promoting AI tools to all their users. They really never valued the field of music. They just saw it as a sacred land to milk its resources profit off of.

Well. I guess I’m going back to GarageBand now. Got a lot of relearning to do since I’ve been using BandLab for a very long time.
Thanks BandLab. You’ve officially set me back like a whole year in music production just because you couldn’t stop salivating at the thought of having even MORE money than you already have. I apologize for how spicy this post can seem to be but it does sum up how I feel about it at the moment.

On the bright side, I can still record stuff with it. And the instruments, the FX presets as of writing are still free and usable. I’m done with using BandLab for music because of the paywall that I literally just told you about for three whole paragraphs, but I’m still gonna keep it for recording purposes if needed.

Anyways because I don’t know how to end this post off; and my eyes are slightly burning for some reason as I’m typing this, so yeah. That’s it. That’s the whole post. Was kinda rushing too because it’s real late rn. Alright yeah I’m actually finished now. You can go on about your day now. Have a good one.

Just wanted to let y’all know. If I get struck by YouTube’s ID system, I’m gonna switch to an alternative platform. I’ll notify y’all for when I do.
By notify I mean I’ll post here and upload a video to make sure that all of you are notified.

Also soon I’m definitely gonna joining the Clippy Movement started by ‪@rossmanngroup‬ too because I absolutely hate YouTube’s new ID update and want it to fail hard enough for them to completely revert the changes.

Is anyone else having this strange bug where YouTube doesn’t show you anymore videos on your channel if you scroll 30 videos down?
I’ve tested this on other channels and the bug doesn’t appear for them so idk what’s going on.

I swear to god if this is just YouTube trying to force people into downloading YouTube Studio just so they can see their own videos.. unfortunately that seems like the type of thing they’d do.

I really hope this is just a temporary bug. It’s really annoying for me.

UPDATE 2:
IGNORANT BLISS AND MY OTHER PROJECTS HAVE BEEN RESTORED!
I went to the Account Settings and pressed Load Data which has restored all of my account data. Good thing I didn’t save because if I did, the data would’ve been LONG gone and impossible to restore.

UPDATE: I NOW HAVE MY GD ACCOUNT BACK!

It took many hours and a different device but I managed to find the password and log back in. The “Forgot Password” button not working and the Account Manager page not showing up on my device was a pain to work through but I finally have it back. All of my un-published levels are unfortunately erased and that includes Ignorant Bliss but I will try to recreate it when I have the time to.

Wow. Just wow.

Geometry Dash fucking logged me out of my account for no reason and I don’t have Twitter so I can’t reach RobTop to get it back.
I’ve also unfortunately made the stupid mistake of not saving or noting down my GD account’s password so I can’t simply get back in via password. This means several projects I’ve made are now gone and that unfortunately includes Ignorant Bliss and a secret XXL memory extreme demon I was working on. A year of progress lost again.. This is the second time this has happened and unfortunately I can’t restore it this time..

“Just use Forgot Password”
I’ve tried that several times. The button does literally nothing on my device.

“Register a new account”
Email is required tho. I don’t have an email at all because of parental circumstances.

I have no idea what to do so I’ll just hope for the best and probably quit GD if I have to..
