My hubby and I grow, and build, the flower and vegetable garden and yard of my dreams, one video at a time. Gardening brings me pure bliss and building things with our own 2 hands gives us a sense of pride and I want you to build and grow with us too! We live in El Paso, Texas (zone 8a) and it is HOT here, so growing vegetables is somewhat trail and error (but let's be hopeful with less error and more success). Saw this grey bird grasshopper on my Lemon Meyer so I had to look up the benefits of having her in my garden:

💚eat smaller insects, such as aphids, which helps to regulate their populations

💚 she’s a food source for predators such as birds, lizards, and spiders

💚contribute to nutrient cycling by converting plant material into animal biomass, which then enriches the soil when they or their predators die

💚They feed on plants, breaking down vegetation and returning nutrients to the soil through their droppings and their own decomposition, which fertilizes the land.

I love seeing new buggies in my yard, makes me know I’m doing something right the more biodiversity I see 💖💖💖💖
