🎸 THIS IS FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO GET BETTER AT GUITAR
I'm running a free guitar workshop tomorrow - April 22nd 19:00 UK time.
It's meant for beginner to intermediate players and I'm planning to cover:
- basic techniques
- more interesting chords for songwriters
- how to orient on the fretboard
- the best exercise to fix your rhythm
- principles of mindful practice - the most effective way to get better faster (in my opinion)
If you're unsure whether you're at the right level please join anyways.
The workshop will be shaped by your questions and interests in real time. :)
Whether you just starting out, simply want to learn a few new chords, discuss intricate scales and improvisation or get some help with songwriting, please join us tomorrow!
Sign up by filling a quick form (1 min) via link bellow and I will send you the Zoom details directly:
Me and my wife went for a trip to The Lake District and met Dave 💨 😬
Living in London for the past 9 years makes me miss nature.
And so I decided to get off my cushy couch and convinced my "big city" wife to go camping for the Easter weekend.
I come from a small town in Czechia near mountains and hiking used to be an every weekend activity for me, but to make it less of shock for both of us and knowing about the hostility of UK weather, we rented a campervan.
On the Friday morning, we took a train to Oxenholme, picked up our car and drove to the campsite.
I naively planned a romantic BBQ for Saturday afternoon - we bought the meat from local farmers, a few drinks, middle of the weekend, what could go wrong, right?
I didn't see what was coming next.
Being out of camping practice after almost a decade of city life, where weather is merely considered a minor inconvenience, I didn't realise I should check the forecast before planning an outdoor activity.
Only minutes after I pulled out a set of chairs, table, assembled awning (word I had to learn) and lit the grill, we had an unexpected visit...
Storm Dave decided to come without an invite and reminded us who's in charge in these ends.
Things started flying everywhere and the heat of the grill was so dispersed that we could barely cook anything.
We were cold, panicked and worried about damaging the borrowed equipment.
I chaotically started packing up, rushing my wife to hide inside the van.
We wrapped ourselves in blankets, put on the diesel heating, made some tea on the gas stove and never left the van again that night.
It was a bit scary, the wind was howling as we were trying to fall asleep, but the rest of our adventure went without issues and I must say I loved the nature up there.
This experience was a solid reminder of how my identity of a seasoned camper from the past needed to catch up with my current one of a comfortable city bloke.
Let me know in the comments what were you up to and whether you prefer city or countryside?
Shout-out to Tank Davis for recommending this incredible performance!
In my latest video I even used my drums, and bass to break down and demonstrate the exquisite groove that the band Free showcases in their live performance of Mr. Big!
I started a new Youtube channel focused on wellness and wellbeing coaching.
The more I talk to people and share my knowledge about music, the more I realise that there is a deeper need right now and the state of music industry is just another symptom of a deeper issue.
We are finding ourselves in the midst of crisis of meaning and belonging.
In this post religious and largely nihilistic era, we simply don't know where do we fit in this scientific and largely utilitarian world view. Who are we and why anything matters at all.
I have been interested in cognitive science, psychology and philosophy for a few years now and last year I have finished my accreditation in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and so I decided to start this new business venture aiming to help people who feel lonely, disconnected from their loved ones anxious and/or overwhelmed.
This post is me calling to you for a little help with getting this off the ground and so please if you think mental health and spirituality related topics are something you'd like to hear more about from me, subscribe to my new youtube channel bellow (first video is out now):

Me and Phoebe getting ready for Chinese New Year celebration. ❤️ 🇨🇳
Discovering the cultural differences between myself and my wife's background has been at times challenging but overall definitely rewarding.
It forced me to challenge the preconceived notions of how things 'are supposed to be' and question the assumptions of how the world works.
Every time I manage to face the fear of the unknown and get out of the shell of 'usual ways', I get rewarded with something new and exciting.
Because it's precisely the fact that it's scary which makes us grow and transcend our current identity.
The way I see it, that's what makes life worth living.
I'm really happy I could celebrate our love in my new song called 'This Is Phoebe.'
You can watch the music video with footage from our Chinese travels here:
