Hi Friends, I'm Leslie and some of you know me from my old channel- I wanted a fresh clean pallet so I created this channel. I love this little old house of ours, hence the name. I've lived here for almost 34 years and it's always a work in progress. Inside, you will find me decorating - I Love seasonal decorating (Fall and Halloween are my favorite!!). I also love to create pretty tablescapes and fun seasonal meals. I am working on some fun videos - it is feeling very festive here!!! To get us ready for the Christmas season, i thought i would share some of my yearly must watch (unpopular) Christmas movies. These, in no particular order are my absolute favorites!!!
1. One Special night - James Garner and Julie Andrew's- need i say more ♡
2. Silent night - based on a true story of America and German soldiers spending Christmas eve together. Awesome.
3. The family man - Nicholas Cage - i rich single man gets a chance to see how his life could have been ♡.
4. A Smokey Mountain Christmas - Dolly Pardon and Lee Majors. One of my moms favorite movies, so its mine by default... and I love to sing slong!!
5. Silver Bells - a Halmark movie with the late Anne Hache-
6. Holiday to Remember- this is an old school Christmas romance that I watch a few times a season. Connie Selleca and Randy Travis.
7. Holiday for Love - another older romance. Was never a huge Melissa Gilbert fan, but Tim Matheson- he was dreamy.
8.The Christmas Wish - with Neil Patrick Harris and Debbie Reynolds- soooooo good!!!!! Sooooo goooooood.
9. Fallen Angel - one of my absolute favorite Halmark movies ever!!!! Watch it!!!!

I've been having problems with my phone lately - I think It was some type of connection issue, texts wouldn't come through or send and any time I watched a video, the comment section wouldn't load. Ughh. I reset this thing this morning and so far, so good. I am making my rounds commenting on all of the awesome videos I watched this week. ❤️. Happy Tuesday 🦃

27 years ago , it was a Saturday morning, and after being 13 days overdue (i was due on Nov 1st and scheduled to give birth on the 16th), I woke up in labor. My first baby , who was then 7, was induced, so I was excited to experience the "honey, its time" moment. I also never thought it would happen again - after 3 miscarriages , those first 20 weeks we were walking on eggshells. I argued with Paul the entire trip to the hospital because he wouldn't stop at the yardsale at the end of my street- THEY WERE SELLING BABY STUFF!! I still swear, we could have got the stuff for free. 😄 It wasn't until around 5:30 pm that our beautiful, perfect little goblin was born.
33 years ago today, it was a Saturday evening, i baked a whole chicken with stuffing and mashed potatoes. It's funny the things you remember. We ate so good that paul fell asleep on the sofa and I decided to leave the mess and take our first beautiful baby (now 34) for a walk in her stroller- we ended up a half mile away at our best friend's house. It was there that Paul called with bad news. He rushed to pick me up and drive me across town to the same hospital where I was born, the hospital where my father was transported to - at 45 years old, a bad heart combined with heavy drug use- he was gone.
Things happen for a reason, I don't believe anything is by chance. November 14th went from one of the worst days of my life, to one of the greatest ❤️

After dinner, I'm going to attempt to get my video finished - there are some fun last-minute halloween treats on there - Meanwhile, here's what we're having for dinner! Snake sandwich- 2 cans of pilsbury French bread formed into a snake- season- bake- slice down the middle - make your favorite sandwich- red pepper tongue (i didn't have any) and black olives for eyes. ; ) see you soon!!
