Variety YouTuber that posts Gaming, Science, Tech, and other topical commentaries. Long form content, philosophical videos, and media reviews are also common here too. I want to be a source of knowledge and positivity in the gaming community.
In Depth is going IRL this July 4th with iconic video game weapons. I'm going review and demonstrate the real life versions of firearms that are popular in video games. Channel Members will get an Extended Cut of this video that includes all of the faster firing modes. I hope that all of you tune in to this educational and exciting production. This is the highest budget and most physically demanding video that I have ever posted on the channel!
Good news & content update: Members only content is rapidly expanding w/ early uploads and extended cuts! The member section is also being used to upload content that would otherwise be unmonetizable or age gated. Some of my new IRL content is spicy and can only be safely uploaded as members only. I'm also tentatively planning to remake my physical therapy streams as Members Only Mondays. That will start as soon as I can manage to fix the weight room PC. But this is just the beginning of a larger content update.
My health is improving so I'm going to try to use that extra energy to make more content for you all. The current plan is for a 50/50 mix between IRL topics & gaming. IRL topics will be varied but I'm really interested in focusing on educational content again. I miss doing the daily Science and Tech videos and want to find a way to make that work on YouTube. My health is improving so another goal is to film one on location project per month. I've already filmed an IRL In Depth episode that will come out in May for members and June for everyone else. The members version will be significantly longer and uncensored. You'll know why when you see it.
Gaming content may take a different direction away from competitive FPS games. I still love fast-paced FPS games, but my hands just can't keep up because I'm pushing 40 and recovering from nerve damage in my hands. Instead, I'm going to try to focus to extraction shooters and try to find a way to enjoy fighting against bots again. I also want to experiment a bit more with single player and strategy games. FPS content isn't dying or disappearing here. I'll still be playing Call of Duty for a while and I'll still be uploading FPS content for a long time to come as well. However, I do want to try some new things.
I'm taking a content break for Christmas. This would be the first time in several years that I have the physicality to attend numerous Christmas events. I'm usually a Christmas Grinch, but there's actually a lot of fun things lined up this Christmas. I have overall been feeling much better this year after getting a handle on all of the health problems but I caught RSV from some holiday guests so my voice is pretty fried right now. Recording long form content is pretty much not an option. I can do the daily shorts, but not much more. Beyond that, the Christmas celebrations will still require a high degree of effort from me. Normally I could work through Christmas but I don't think I have the ability to work through Christmas when my starting point is getting over a bad cold. So this year I've decided to actually let content rest a little bit and focus on spending some time with family. There will still be daily or semi daily science shorts for the foreseeable future. Maybe a few gaming ones too. There's also a chance that I post my Marvel Rivals review if my voice recovers and I can find some quiet time to record. That video is 75% done but my voice quit before I could record the commentary for it. Also a chance of a Meta Quest 3S video if the sponsor is able to mail it in before the new year.
This has been an overall incredibly good year for me in terms of health and content satisfaction. I finally got all of the answers for my medical problems, and most of the treatments were successful too. I'm still weaker than I want to be, still handicapped, still a little bit immunocompromised, but improving rapidly. I've made more quality of life gains in the last 6 months than I have in the last 4 years. The trend is extremely positive. My goal is to continue focusing on exercise and healthy living in hopes of maximizing recovery potential. This has also been a very fun year for content experimentation. I've always wanted to make more exciting content than just CoD reviews. So, I've been experimenting with new types of content pretty much all year long. This year we've done gaming, VR Gaming, Tech, science, politics, philosophy, news, Firearms content, food content, video essays, film parodies, Manga reviews, feminist film theory, horror movies, live streams, and even media meta-analysis. Not all of them have been hits, but they were all fun to make. It's also been mentally rewarding to experiment and try to understand what makes certain genres of content successful. I've made some of my best videos of all time this year. I'm hoping that next year allows me to maintain this level of experimentation. Thank you all for watching, and I'm going to have some great stuff for you in 2025!
I'm releasing my most important video of the year tomorrow afternoon. It is a manga review that will be a radical deviation from the normal gaming content. I spent over a month working on this project and it has the highest production value of anything that I've done in years. This manga impacted me on a personal level and it is something that I've wanted to share with you for a very long time. I just wanted to give it a little promo here to give it the best chance of success tomorrow. I hope that many of you are able to check it out and enjoy it. I'd love to be able make more videos up to this standard in the future.
BAD NEWS! I finally got COVID. My wife picked it up from my sister-in-law and then spread it to me. Thankfully it appears to be a milder variant and I've had years of vaccinations so it isn't hitting very hard. So far, it's mostly just fatigue and general flu-like crummy feelings. It should pass in a few more days but in the meantime it has delayed some content. I just finished filming an extremely spicy opinion video about advertising. The video isn't my usual commentary but is instead full Adult Swim style spiral into madness. As you can see from the one screenshot, it's definitely pushing the limits of ad-friendly content. And finally, I have a little bit of bad news about the merchandise launch. Something very unfortunate has happened that massively delayed the release of both shirts. I have to keep the specifics private for now I just wanted to let you know that I should be able to launch in Oct/Nov instead of at the end of this month as planned. Splitgate 2, CoD Next, and BO6 beta streams are planning for the coming weeks.
Memberships are available for first time on this channel and doge petting streams are coming soon! Memberships are another optional way to support me. I'm turning on memberships because I plan to stream on YouTube much more often and it makes sense to have all of the features available. My goal is to do at least one stream per week. Sometimes it will be games and other times it might be co-streams of events. I'm grateful for all of you who watch, interact, and like my videos. However, memberships give me the option to offer you additional benefits here on the channel. You can find out more about memberships here: youtube.com/channel/UCk8cNb10L5rmV9xB13ADCWA/join
I'm also planning to bring back some chill Bumi heading streams where we just hang out on the couch or bed. As a quick update for Bumi, he has gotten very old and very fat but is still in relatively good health. His heart is enlarged, his eyesight is lacking, and he's starting to slow down a bit but he still loves people. His favorite thing to do is to go to the comic book shop and beg for snacks or pettings from strangers. He still has plenty of energy for walks and for interacting with people but otherwise sleeps most of the day. Bumi isn't in videos as much anymore because he gets grumpy if I put him in a costume or make him work in front of the camera for too long. Bumi is now retired from the celebrity life but will continue to be a part of this channel for a very long time in the form of some cute emotes for members.
I've got two very big videos releasing soon. It's been awhile since I've posted and the delay is because these projects require much more work than usual. First up, I'll be tackling the white paper that Call of Duty released about matchmaking and ping. Then I have a larger, near documentary style video about the recent website bans in Texas. This will be a big departure from the normal topics we cover on this channel but will hopefully still be enlightening and entertaining. This is also probably the best place to squeeze in any mini health updates. Right now I'm stable but still pretty sick and planning to start a pretty intense antibiotic regimen before the end of the week. Really hoping it makes me better and doesn't make it any harder to produce content.
