I look at Solar Panels the same way I look at a sports cars. I can look up at a roof tell you what type of panels are installed the hardware type, inverter type, and all the specifications… love the sleek black lines, the crazy electronics, and the straight magic we call photovoltaics.

Recently made a post about solar panels getting too big and heavy. I’ve been going over the spec sheets of panels and it’s interesting that every single panel has its weight listed under “50lbs”. Which anything over would be a 2 man carry by oshas standard. I want to weigh some panels because I’m calling BS. There’s no way some of these 66 cell + panels or AC panel are under 50lbs. I went and looked at some of my favorite old 60 cell panels to find most of them were between 30-40lbs. I think with the lack of technology advancements leading to a wattage battle that’s only won by panel size increases we are just going to get weaker frames and thinner glass and bigger panels.

A lot of people recommended that I create a new channel for my longer review / how to videos. I plan on keeping shorts on this channel if you’re interested in longer reviews and how to subscribe to my new page!
