Okay, Fellow Fangeeks… I have owed you guys this update for WAY too long.
Confession time: I actually WROTE most of this update weeks ago…and then apparently decided the logical next step was to completely forget to post it. *FACE PALM*
So! Let’s try this again.
Life offline has been a LOT lately.
I went back to working full-time outside the house, which has been a much bigger adjustment than I expected. At the same time, we’ve had multiple family health issues, hospital visits, appointments, injuries, household chaos, and just the general insanity that happens when several things decide to go sideways at once.
Basically, our carefully constructed schedule looked at us and said:
“That’s adorable. NOPE!”
Because of all that, recording has slowed down a bit, I am HORRIBLY behind on comments, and you may have noticed Editor Hubby hasn’t been popping up quite as often either.
He hasn’t escaped. I checked. ;p
He’s just been insanely busy too, and we've both been trying to figure out how to balance work, home, family, the channels, and occasionally doing wild things like sleeping.
But I want to make something very clear:
We are NOT abandoning the channels.
Not even remotely.
I still love doing this. I still love discovering music with you guys. I still want to get back into our shows — especially Stargate SG-1 and Buffy these are very special shows to our hearts! — and there is still a frankly ridiculous list of things I want to watch, hear, react to, yell about, cry over, and blame Editor Hubby for introducing me to.
Some things may just take us a little longer right now.
And the comment situation…OOF.
I see you guys. I promise.
I know I’m behind, and I hate that because one of my favorite parts of this whole crazy thing has always been talking with you after the videos. I’m working my way back toward that, but I may never completely conquer Mount Commentmore. No matter what, I'm determined to get those comments answered and read.
Right now, we’re basically learning what our new normal looks like.
Some weeks are going to be better than others. Sometimes uploads will probably get moved around. Sometimes something we planned has to wait because real life kicks open the front door and announces that it has other ideas.
But we’re still making videos.
We’re still finding new music.
We’re still laughing.
I’m still crying over songs.
Editor Hubby is still finding deeply questionable things to make me watch.
So really…some things remain beautifully, annoyingly normal.
Thank you to everybody who has stuck with us, checked on us, watched, commented, become members, shared videos, or simply quietly kept showing up.
You guys have been incredibly patient with us while life has been doing its best impression of a dumpster fire.
We appreciate you more than you know. We’re still here. We’re still watching. We’re still Fangeeking.
