I decided to have a little switch around and try something new on the site and try to start uploading short movies as well as our usual stuff so I had an idea that it would be cool if I sent Alberto (My creative director) out in the street to meet the general public and gauge some public opinion of the 'Clay Man' animation which people seem to have been interested in. So off he went and came back with the video of his day that is in the 'shorts' section of this you tube channel, so go check out his day and you will be meeting Alberto from time to time as he goes out on his interviews asking opinions of various animations to come. Enjoy!
Ok, things are moving quickly. I won a cash prize for a second place in an animation contest over the last couple of weeks which have injected some funds into this channel, then I agreed to sell the rights to the 'Opus' animation adding more funds. I'm currently working on two commissions behind the scenes to add to the two commissions already completed a couple of months ago. Current work includes two full motion video movies, one of which stars myself in a zombie invasion of the Tokyo subway!, another is a sketch animation and another is almost complete with the little girl at the Alice in wonderland music rave festival. The legend of Robert Johnson animation is up today, and I have other ideas and concepts that I'm considering. I also want to do another Deforum video which I seem to have neglected recently, so typical of me it will be a mind bending one as I need to let loose sometimes and go nuts. As for the Tokyo Subway I couldn't just run around being chased all the time so I decided to arm myself as I really don't want to be eaten, lol!
For all the subscribers out there the subtitles are now done with the 'Monsters among us' animation. From German to Hindi, most languages are now wired into the video! Other work on new video's continues including a possible video with action in a murder mystery where you can see all the action take place in various rooms of the same house all at the same time. Another with a complete animation done in sketch form, more deforum weird goodness and a girl in a rabbit costume at an Alice in Wonderland Rave music festival, a zombie subway movie, or old man and the sea...A lot of work at various different stages all in progress at the moment
Quick sneak peak in connection with the point made by one of our subscribers who was concerned that I'm straying a little from the inspirational stuff, fair point, so here are a couple of stills from another very inspirational animation I'm working on with an even more inspirational cinematic movie score. Way more technical than anything I have ever attempted as its all live actors and no deforum or any other animation style I've ever tried. Having said that the music score is complete already and I have around 40 seconds of footage done so lets see how we get on. The fact that I got emotional at one point while making it is a good sign that I'm on the right track with the storyline, lol
Had a complete change of mind with the Grendel animation as I had a mad moment and went in a completely different direction with a red theme that goes through the entire animation, more like a fantasy style than the medieval monotone woodcut kind of thing...I keep doing bits at a time but its a long job. Soundtrack is complete along with the narration all through the story. Just one of 6 animations I'm working on at the minute. I'm such a nerd, lol
Interesting, I ran some tests with a band called 'Evil Nines' A really unique style which was drawn originally by the guitarist from still and silence, he wanted me to have a go at translating his sketch into something I could animate. I didn't hold out much hope as the way A.I works is by large language models which take a look at every guitar player in history, both real and animated and work out some way of having a guitarist that is a conglomeration of known sketches and styles. His sketch is unique and unknown to A.I so it shouldn't work at all. My secret weapon is that before A.I, I spent years working with photoshop and drawing by hand before that, so I managed to work it out by designing the band members from scratch as close as I could to the sketch. I now have a really cool animated guitar player ! I have included the original sketch along with my 3 stylized versions. The second drawing has turned out to be a really funky animated guitar player with a bunch of crazy rock fans dancing in the background ! (Tests continue)
Today I have Grendel on my mind. If you recall Grendel was the monster in the book Beowulf. I read the story years ago and what cemented the relationship was the song Grendel by Marillion in 1983, really weird and dark. So animation wise I need to be in the headspace for what I'm doing and thought I would have a change in style, although just looking at some of the scenes I have so far you would think they are Deforum, but they are not. I'll keep you posted with progress
And then its time for our characters to get some well deserved sleep after their adventures in keeping with the sleep theme at the end of the video, lol
Couple more sequences completed. I knew I would get the chance at some point to utilise my video of the surrealist painting high speed fly through drone movie. All it needed was a bunch of characters to ride a flying carpet across the high speed surrealist landscape. Added to that is a quick stop off at Stewies bedroom where he's gonna zap us there with his weird remote control (when he stops fiddling with the buttons)

Did Musicwurx mention a space mission? One minute you are playing guitar by a broken down bridge in a Tim Burton style animation, and the next...
