I perform my Jummah at Boubai at a masjid next to Aunty’s Inn.
After the sermon they announced they will be Jannazah after Jummah.
I stayed back and performed it too, I learnt the deceased was called Baba and he’s 14years old.

There were two things that caught my attention.

1. The kids refused to move from the front line at the far end even after countless attempt by their Mallams, they warned to lash them with canes
The kids were facing dead at plain eye sight without flinching.

2. The zeal of the kids to go to the cemetery by hopping into cars and tricycles it was something more like battle of the fastest, there was a huge number of participants and less space.

These activities played a major role in my life as medical students. As most of my colleagues get scared and traumatized after seeing dead bodies, I see it as an addition to the number of dead bodies I have seen and witnessed in their burial.

These kids showed love and sympathized their beloved colleague.
May Allah shower his mercy on all dead souls and guide the living onto the straight path.
