Using cash envelopes is an effective way to stay on budget with your spending but I personally hate using cash. I haven’t found a great alternative until I started using Crew (use code PNP for a bonus APY boost)

Crew gives you a high yield checking account with pockets where you can label money for certain expenses. Then your debit card can be used to spend from individual pockets. So if you’re at the grocery store you can spend from your grocery pocket. If you’re buying movie tickets you can spend from your entertainment pocket. It’s the best way I’ve found to do digital envelopes that are actually functional and using envelopes is an old school method of making sure you stick to a budget.

I spent some time in Louisiana last week including taking my kids to explore New Orleans with their cousins. It was a quick and inexpensive trip during our fall break and so much fun!

Lately I’ve been trying really hard to find the balance between chasing financial freedom and using our money NOW for good times and memories. I’m hopeful I can find ways to keep doing both!
