One evening, Mulla Nasruddin was sitting in the marketplace, happily eating a simple meal of bread and soup. 🍞🥣
A wealthy merchant passing by noticed Mulla’s cheerful face and became curious. 💰🤔
He asked, “Mulla, you own very little, yet you always seem happy. What is your secret?”
Mulla smiled and invited the merchant to sit beside him. 😊
The merchant sighed and said, “I have money, property, and servants, but my mind is always restless. I keep worrying about gaining more.” 😟
Mulla quietly dipped a piece of bread into the soup and said, “My friend, happiness is like this soup. If you keep staring at someone else’s bowl, your own meal becomes cold.” 💡✨
The merchant looked thoughtful.
