Life has led me to this song. One that I'm sure most of us can relate to and connect with. Its raw, true, poignant and profound. Its real! It's also a a teacher to remind us all that when we have heartache it helps to understand that its "The Way It Goes Sometimes." It's never easy, but it's possible to get "through" it all....eventually. Accept, learn, grow, and move on, but please do yourselves a favor and move "through" it and not around. One day you may just look back and see that it was all a big and beautiful blessing.

One year ago today this video was made in under the midnight sun in Iceland. It was also a pinnacle day of my life as everything changed a few hours later. Such beautiful moments spending time with my mother along the McKenzie River on a perfect spring day. I took her for a picnic in one of my favorite places and sang her some songs. One being my song The River. I set up a couple camera views and made a memory to last a lifetime. So precious!
I don't take these moments for granted. Spending time with both my mother and father these past three weeks is something I'll always cherish and consider myself extremely lucky and blessed.

Some things are priceless. This is one of them. I wrote this song many years ago and just last week was visiting my father in Florida and got the "travel" guitar out. This was the first time we had ever sang together! I'm so glad I captured this on video. I'll cherish this moment the rest of my life.
MOONSHINE is a song I wrote about the days my dad would take me fishing when I was a kid.
