I'm now in the first semester of University and it's more stressful and demanding than I thought, not to mention midterms exams that are right around the corner. I just finished watching the recent Dinosaur movie called ''Primitive War'' and here are some of my thoughts...
Overall, the movie isn't really great, but considering its incredibly low budget and not-well-known studio production, you'd be wrong to expect gold tier quality.
However, what this movie doesn't disappoint in is Dino action and horror, in fact it exceeded my expectation by how well done the Dino scenes were and how often they were on screen.
Acting was very good too for a movie of this tier, the visuals were amazing, Dino designs also impressive and CGI looks pretty good for the most part.
This movie does however have its flaws with pacing and character developments or motivations. plot armor is also very often hard to ignore.
Comparing it to Jurassic World: Rebirth, I might have an unpopular opinion of preferring this movie over it, because despite the fact that both movies are garbage, Primitive War was the kind of garbage that fully embraced what it had, put it to excellent use and most importantly, unlike JW: Rebirth, it doesn't just dingle potential in our noses and then miss it, but rather fully uses it.
Overall, 6/10 as a movie in general, BUT... 9/10 as a Dinosaur movie.
