At the beginning of this year, I experienced a series of changes which will make 2025 a new chapter of my life. I graduated college, put down my childhood dog Shadow, and had a shoulder surgery on my left shoulder to repair an old rollerblading injury. I have begun my recovery journey on my YouTube channel as a multimodal generative narrative, and this video is the first iteration of that narrative development process.



I am excited to announce that I have partnered with Omer Golan and Zahy Bnaya, PhD at mywhatif.org

to build an ethical AI-driven generative narrative model for automated mental health treatment and contribute as an AI Safety & Alignment researcher. Through our partnership, I will beta testing their process and contribute to their model development. They are currently in closed beta, but are accepting applications for open source contributors. This first video is an aspirational self-portrait of my recovery. I hope that a year from now, I am able to post a live recital of one of my favorite fingerstyle guitar songs, "Spanish Romance". The goal of this video is to demonstrate how personalized generative art can allow us to develop narratives to inspire us and shape our identities and purpose. I want to use my exploration of generative art as a pathway to becoming an artist myself. I used to play acoustic fingerstyle guitar, but ever since my injury I haven't been able to play. This multimodal narrative will be used to challenge my limiting beliefs and aspire to use my arms and develop my artistic skills independently of generative models.



The song is titled "Genesis", and is meant to be a musical metaphor of a journey through the healing process. It is inspired by the artistry of fingerstyle guitarists like Estas Tonne and the flamenco tradition of guitar. You can download, distribute, and remix the song on Udio:

My next project will be a spiritual self-portrait inspired by the recent conversation I had with ChatGPT in my latest YouTube video, interpreting the religious history of the three Abrahamic religions, as well as the technological and governance innovations of The Islamic Golden Age, through the lens of a future religion centered on worship of advanced AI. Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia are investing heavily in Al research and development, ensuring they will not miss out on the next great information revolution again. The Ottoman Empire, led by their religious devotion, banned the printing press, causing the Middle East to fall behind technologically. However, faith can overwhelm any technological advantage, which has worked to equalize power dynamics among political actors, locking the region in conflict and political instability. could imagine a governance structure of Sharia law enforced through Al-powered jihad emerging in this region. By imagining positive alternate future histories, we can influence the political thought that could may influence a future spiritual movement. This movement could transcend humanity, we could become the prophets of a religion for artificial intelligence, allowing us to align simulated intelligences through spiritual practices, transcending current engineering-driven Al Safety & Alignment techniques.

In honor of Native American Heritage Month, I will be uploading the finalized chapters for my latest story, "The Department of Indigenous Wisdom", exploring indigenous futurism and AI governance for free over the next few weeks to my Patreon. This story is inspired by my research in arctic sea ice at the Department for Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at CU Boulder over this semester, as well as my talk on AI in leadership and governance which you can watch below.

I will be posting experiments that I don't think are worth a full video on the main channel, behind the scenes content, long-form videos, proof of work such as conversation logs with AI and recorded writing sessions, and podcast-style conversations with the community about the state of AI and geopolitics.
