Preserving the folk music from the Appalachians of the old world
This Channel is dedicated to showcasing traditional Appalachian Old-Time tunes and songs on the Fiddle, Banjo, and Mountain Dulcimer, in the authentic and archaic styles from the rural communities of Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina, some from fiddlers who were born in the 1800s, as well as sharing the history and biography of the tune sources.
I also occasionally will post footage/audio that I captured from various gigs, jam sessions and music festivals.
If you are new here, be sure to like, subscribe and share my content as there will be more to come!

Hello friends! I've updated the descriptions of my Isham Monday renditions. You'll now find links to the full 1959 recording sessions of Isham Monday's visits on Berea Archives. He was visited twice, and each recording is about 47 minutes long. I'll leave links below here.

Alright everyone, I have a big announcement!
Many of you may remember the "Isham Monday Tunes" series that I did a while back, where I showcased 15 rare fiddle tunes, all from Kentucky fiddler Isham Monday, I am working on republishing the entire tune series from scratch.
This new showcase series is going to be better sound and video quality, more true to the source recordings by tuning the fiddle in the exact same pitch that Isham Monday played his fiddle in, and it will also introduce a few tunes that were never published to the older series, including Rock Creek Girls, Sambo, Wagoner, Sally Goodin, and Monday's Waltz.
This project took nearly a year of research, practicing, and studying Isham Monday's fiddling, as well as recording throughout the year. There will be a total of 20 renditions on this new series, as well as a couple of them featuring musical accompaniment from a friend! So stay tuned and keep a lookout for "Isham Monday Tunes - Remake."

Hey everyone! If any of you are wondering why I'm not posting as many videos as I use to, it's because it's just too cold to film outdoors right now and my options to film indoors are very limited, but when the conditions are right I film videos the first chance I get, that's why some of my uploads are weeks apart from each other.
Thank you all again for your ongoing support to this channel, as we are continuing to gain subscribers!
Stay safe and warm!
