Hi everyone. A few days ago, I posted a short video to celebrate teachers, and it sparked some really unexpected reactions. Iāve been a teacher for almost 15 years, and while Iām used to hearing some of the usual comments about holidays or conditions, the level of anger caught me off guard. So today, I want to address that and hopefully bring a bit of understanding to the conversation.
Yes, teachers get holidays, but have you ever thought about whatās behind that? The late nights grading, the weekends planning, the emotional weight of being responsible for dozens of young minds? Itās not just a job; itās a commitment.
The idea that teachers have it āeasyā is such a narrow view. Every profession has its perks and its challenges. Teaching happens to be one where breaks are necessary to recharge, because itās not just physical, itās emotional and mental, too.
Think about the role teachers play in shaping every profession: doctors, engineers, professional athletes, and even influencers. At some point, someone taught them the basics and encouraged their growth. Why does this seem to get overlooked?
We all choose our paths. No one profession is inherently better or harder than another. But putting someone down because their work looks different from yours? Thatās where we need to stop and reflect.
Back in 1963, Judy Garland said something beautiful about how we should enter the new year: āLetās be a little more gentle with each other.' Thatās something we could all use today. How about replacing judgment with empathy. Instead of tearing others down, letās lift each other up because everyone is doing the best they can in their role.
To all my fellow teachers, I see you. To everyone else, I hope this message gives you a new perspective.
Have a great start to 2025!

Hey everyone! š
I just want to thank you all for your amazing support. Back on April 20th, I had 176 subscribers, and now Iām thrilled to say that number has more than doubled to 392! I couldnāt have done it without each of you. A huge shoutout to those who liked my videos and took the time to write thoughtful comments. It reaaaally means a lot to me!
Iām working on a new playlist focused on grammar lessons, each just 5 minutes long! But Iād love your input: would you prefer audio recordings or video lessons?
Let me know in the poll below. Thanks again for being such an incredible community!

Hello, dears! First off, I'd like to say a huge thank you to all my 176 subscribers. I know for some this number is insignificant but for me a full-time mum, with a full-time EAL teacher job, it means the world.
ā Thank you to each and every one of you who have taken the time to watch my videos, shorts, and take their time to actually comment and even write meaningful comments.
āThank you to everyone who has rooted for me, encouraged me to continue, and made me smile.
ā Thank you to all who have shared my videos and even to those who have unliked my videos or even wrote not-so-nice comments. It would be wonderful if you could tell me why.
ā Thank you to those who actually read the lengthy descriptions for each short which are not gimmicks to grow my no of views but actually golden nuggets from 14 years of knowledge & experience as an English teacher.
I'll be off for 2 weeks on holiday and I won't be able to post that much. I'll use this time to catch up on sleep, binge-watch TV series, spend quality time with my husband and kiddo, actually cook and take some time off from takeout & pizza, work out, and have some me time. I might work on full-length videos. Might.
I'm just gonna leave this poll here "What else would you like to see?" or just drop your comments with your requests.
Until next time, keep exploring! Keep learning!
