Well, it’s been a while since we last did one of these. I thought we were going to be releasing for the end of April, but it’s been made abundantly clear that it’s no longer feasible. As such, the editing team and I have decided to move to a “No Deadline” position, in order to treat the book with the care it needs and deserves.

This is also being marked with a shift in genre. Project Harbinger is, at its core, a Military-focused setting. That will not change. It will, however, stop clinging stringently to realism. We’ve found that by obeying such realism so much, it has constrained my creative ability when it comes to worldbuilding and storytelling. There is only so much you can do to stretch realism when writing a world where Werewolves exist, and where Japan became a colonial power at the same time as the European nations. The core story of Project Harbinger: Ignition will largely remain the same. But going forward, we will lean more into the Light Novel/Anime-esque elements of the Project, as it is our belief that the story’s strength lies there.

So, what does this mean?

When it comes to the world of Project Harbinger, there will be no change in the depiction of your average mook. Most art pieces will largely remain consistent, and we will be expanding into more aspects of the world. Weapons and equipment will stay the same. However, we will be using more distinctive designs for the main cast going forwards.

Right now, I don’t see this affecting the project that much. But I can not deny that there is a possibility that these changes might escalate further. I’m hoping it won’t come to that, but at the same time I can’t guarantee anything.

I apologize to those of you that were looking forwards to more positive news. You deserve only the best, and we remain committed to delivering it to you.

Hi Everyone,

I’m writing this, because unfortunately, we need to talk about the book again.

Releasing this novel for y’all to enjoy has always been one of my top priorities. It has been a labour of love, and as a book lover myself, has been something I’ve always wanted to do. Over these past few years, I’ve been excited, and more than happy to share with you the world of Project Harbinger.

That being said, making sure that this book is not just up to the standards I hold myself to, but to the standards that you deserve, is more important.

I started writing this book in late 2019, and finished in mid 2021. That is over a year and a half of writing. More importantly, that’s also 2-4 years ago, during which my skills as an author have improved.

After careful talks with my editor and advisors, we have determined that the book isn’t up to the quality that you, as the reader, deserve. Simply put, some of the writing isn’t up to the bar that I hold myself to today. I also realize that this book won’t just be this community’s introduction to the world of Project Harbinger, but a lot of people who are going to be coming into this completely blind, and won’t have the same background knowledge as many of you.

I won’t get a Second Chance to introduce this book to the world. We need to do it right.

As such, we are delaying the release until late April. I can’t give a new solid date at this time. I’m sorry for disappointing so many of you with this news, and I solely take the blame.

I can only ask for your patience as we fix the book, so we can deliver to you the best experience possible.

That being said, what will happen in the mean time?

Allow me to say, I have no plans to stop producing content for you to enjoy. I fully intend to continue expanding upon the universe of Project Harbinger with art and literature. While videos remain a priority, our main focus will be on the novel and worldbuilding.

Transparency has been, and will continue to be, one of my main principles to uphold. Feel free to ask me any questions regarding this change, or any other concerns.

So, I got some bad news.

Due to work, and family issues, I’ll be moving the Release Date for my novel back to December 17th. It is possible that, if this deadline isn’t met, I may have to move it back to April at the latest.
