Rest easy fellow Reservoir Watchers. Here's Dowry Reservoir, 11:00, Saturday 18th October. Now you don't have to feel guilty having that second mug of tea.
A great day to be out on a bike as I revisited a ride from 2001, connecting Greenfield to Stalybridge, Hollingworth, Hadfield, Padfield, and Torside before going up and over the Moss. Unfortunately the GoPro failed - catastrophically so - and all footage of the 63 sun-soaked miles is lost. It is an ex-action camera. A replacement will be procured in due course. Until then, enjoy the sunshine and those oh-so-inviting Yorkshire roads(*)
Day 25 : Over the worst of the virus and back to short, steady rides. I didn't fancy storm force winds and squally showers so after an indoor spin I took to a different kind of pedal-pushing. Fingers crossed for some easy outdoor stuff early next week.
If there's a Turner Prize for Strava Art then this should be a contender. A bold socio-political reflection on humanity's struggle against gravity and the elements.
Don't worry, I haven't gone into hibernation or switched to the competitive Ludo circuit. This photo was taken on Tuesday 29th Oct, at the halfway point of my favourite limestone hundred. Hoping to get the ride videos rolling again next week.
What's your preferred screen resolution for watching 'Clipping In'? After a spell of 1080 HD I've returned to 4k resolution for the recent shorter videos Huge files and longer processing/upload times. Now, if everyone's watching at 480 or 720 then is it worth persisting when the longer videos return?

A very spring-like Easter Saturday in limestone country.
