The Isha Yoga Centre teaches us what we’ve always believed: that architecture is not decoration. It is presence. The way the open courtyards invite the mountains inward. The way silence holds space. The way green of Vellangiri mountains surrounds every edge—not as ornament, but as truth.

To be in the ashram, to sit where the Dhayanlinga is made, to feel Sadhguru’s energy—it is a masterclass in what it means to design for the sacred. Every threshold crossed, every level descended, every view framed was an act of devotion.

We carry this back to every project we touch. Because when you’ve been in the presence of a Master, you understand: the finest architecture is always about awakening.

Studio Ardete is deeply honoured to be entrusted with the design of the Shri Salasar Balaji Temple, Panchkula — the first temple of Salasar Balaji to rise outside Salasar Dham, Rajasthan. To carry the spirit of a shrine that draws millions of devotees each year into a new home in Haryana is a responsibility we hold with humility and devotion.

The temple takes shape in the timeless Nagara (North Indian) style — a soaring shikhara reaching skyward, layered stone detailing, and a sequence of vast pillared halls designed for the many rhythms of temple life: darshan, satsang, community gatherings, festivals, and quiet prayer. Every space is composed to hold both grandeur and stillness — architecture that doesn’t just house the divine, but prepares the heart to meet it.

For us, this is more than a commission. It is seva — an offering through design.

Some homes make a statement. This one holds a conversation.
From the street, it stands confident — crisp white volumes framed against the sky, a bronze spine running through its heart, and greens cascading softly over every edge. A facade that doesn't shout for attention, yet never goes unnoticed.
Step inside, and the story softens. Golden light pours through sheer drapes, marble floors carry the warmth of the evening sun, and every texture — boucle, walnut, brass, linen — invites you to slow down and stay a little longer.
The double-height dining that gathers the family under one sculptural light. A living room wrapped in warm neutrals that feels like a quiet luxury retreat. A master suite where even the morning light filters in like it was designed to.
Outside, it's architecture. Inside, it's emotion. Together — it's home.

A school that grows with you- Rooted in earth. Wrapped in green.

Studio Ardete unveiling a newly green designed 3-acre sustainable school in North India where the rooftop is a garden, the amphitheatre is a classroom, and every material tells an honest story. Because the children walking these corridors today will build the cities of tomorrow — and we wanted them to grow up knowing that green is not a luxury.
It is a decision.

A Green Roof Is Not an Amenity. It Is a Curriculum.
From above, this school is a garden.
The extensive green roofs that cascade across the lower wing are visible from the upper classrooms — which is entirely intentional. A child looking out during a mathematics lesson sees not a tar membrane and HVAC units, but a living meadow. They see what their school has chosen to prioritize.
Over twelve years of looking out that window, the lesson accumulates quietly: Green is not expensive. Green is not elite. Green is a decision — one that anyone who builds anything can make.
This is the generation that will design the next fifty years of Indian cities. We wanted them to grow up understanding that the choice between a concrete slab and a flowering roof is, at its core, a choice about values.

This is not just a school. It is where the future learns to build itself. 🌿

Where a high street becomes a town square.

Rising across 4.5 acres in Punjab, this is architecture composed in ivory — an Art Deco language of stepped pylons, fluted piers and radiating sunburst reliefs, drawn in luminous white stone that shifts from crisp daylight to a warm glow at dusk.

At its heart lies the plaza: a fountain, a promenade, a place to gather — the civic ritual of the high street returned to the city. Above it, elevated bridges stitch the retail blocks together, layering movement and framing the sky between them.

And presiding over all of it, a clock tower — the vertical anchor, geometric and setback in true Deco fashion, that gives the destination its landmark, its meeting point, its sense of place.

2,00,000 sq ft of mixed-use retail and culture, conceived as a monument to the everyday.

A hospital shouldn't feel like a sentence. It should feel like a beginning.

We're thrilled to share renders of Oxford Hospital — our upcoming 150-bed healthcare facility in Punjab, currently in design development at Studio Ardete.

Every decision in this building comes back to one question: what does a patient need to feel safe, seen, and hopeful?

The answer shaped everything — the undulating stone façade that softens an institutional typology, the Corten-framed entrance arch that reads as shelter rather than threshold, the ribbon windows that bring in sky from every ward floor, and the rooftop healing garden with winding paths and water.

Inside, a living atrium tree anchors the soul of the building. We call it the "tree that holds the building up" — not structurally, but emotionally.

150 beds. One belief: that great architecture heals.
