This Is Why My Case Matters — And Why History Is On Our Side
My federal case, VALLEJOS v. ROB BONTA & CHAD BIANCO, isn’t just about me. It’s about a system that has completely inverted justice.
In California, a law-abiding citizen can face years in prison for a paperwork mistake involving a firearm—while repeat criminals get no bail, light sentences, and are back on the street within months. The law doesn’t deter crime anymore; it rewards it.
We’re told that disarming the public creates safety. History—and reality—say the opposite.
One of the most influential legal scholars in Western history warned about this exact outcome over 250 years ago. Cesare Beccaria wrote:
“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides.”
— On Crimes and Punishments
That’s exactly what we’re living under today.
When lawful carry is treated as suspicious, criminals gain confidence. When “good moral character” is decided by subjective bias instead of objective law, rights become privileges. And when citizens are punished more harshly than offenders, the system loses legitimacy.
My case challenges that inversion head-on.
This is not radical.
This is not reckless.
This is constitutional, historical, and necessary.

We all remember the video — Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco taking a knee with Black Lives Matter protesters back in 2020. At the time it was framed as a gesture of solidarity… but with Bianco now eyeing higher office, the moment has been quickly re-interpreted, explained away, or spun to suit political ambition. That’s not leadership — it’s image management.
But now even the FBI is in the news for kneeling controversies, and the contrast is stark.

The FBI news underscores something important: taking a knee in uniform is not a trivial or apolitical act — it carries weight, context, and consequence. When agents face termination and legal battles over kneeling — and when a sheriff’s own kneeling becomes a political storyline — we should ask:
What does it say about someone who’s willing to kneel as Sheriff for political optics?
And if he’ll kneel now, who might he kneel to later — and for what?
Some hypothetical but reasonable questions voters should consider:
If Sheriff Bianco is willing to kneel for Black Lives Matter as sheriff, will he be willing to kneel for anti-gun advocates as governor — especially those who want to disarm law-abiding Californians?
Might he bend to wealthy special interests, well-connected activist groups, or political pressure from powerful lobbyists — even at the expense of constitutional rights?
Again — these are speculations about character and political incentives, not claims of actual conduct or conspiracies. We raise them because patterns of public behavior matter, especially for someone aspiring to statewide leadership.
The FBI agents’ case reminds us that kneeling in uniform has meaning — and can carry serious personal and professional consequences. It’s worth asking why a sheriff would choose to do it, and what that choice might suggest about whose interests he serves.
Allegedly, we’re supposed to believe the kneeling was harmless or merely spiritual — but when public behavior becomes a political “stunt,” we owe it to voters to scrutinize it, question it, and refuse to let it be forgotten.
