I wrote this book because I wanted a different kind of conversation about GLP-1 medications, not another simplified “weight loss drug” story.
"The Architecture of Enough" is about hunger, metabolism, immune signaling, body composition, and what happens when we intervene in one of the body’s most ancient systems for regulating need, appetite, and sufficiency.
GLP-1 medications are powerful and can be helpful to many people with diabetes and/or obesity. The problem is that we mainly reduce the conversation around them to weight, willpower, or a number on the scale. This book is my attempt to slow down the conversation to approach it more carefully. It's for patients, clinicians, and anyone trying to understand what these medications are really doing, and what “health” means beyond weight loss.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged this work, asked the hard questions, and helped make space for a more thoughtful discussion.
