I added beads so I could enjoy the style more. I love beads in hair, but only from afar. I’ve had these beads since last year but never used them.

I used to think about the discomfort it’d cause when sleeping (which I didn’t experience 😂🌚), the clanking sounds, and worst of all, a bead hitting my eye. So far, none of that has happened. Maybe it depends on the style or length?

First picture - 7 months apart. It felt like yesterday I placed myself on a 2 months mini braids challenge.🙌🏾

Second image - I was looking at my hair after taking down the mini braids I wore for 2 months straight. The results were good, but I won’t be keeping mini braids in that long again. 6 weeks max, and I’ll be washing weekly or every two weeks.

Third image is the braid size I feel my hair would do best in. It’s midi, my strands handle it well. The downside is it doesn’t last as long and I don’t get many styling options at this length. That’s why my current “mini braids” aren’t as tiny as the ones I did last year.

Last image shows how I’ve been using flower clips in my hair lately, just something soft and cute. The rest are reposts ❤️

Starting the new month with a trim ✂️
I didn’t measure it, but it was clearly more than half an inch.

If I had better access, I would have gone to a professional, but there’s no natural hair salon where I live. So I trimmed as much as I could see. I think it’s even uneven.

Seeing my hair today made me sad, not going to lie.
I’ve also started taking iron supplements with vitamin C to help with absorption. At this point, I can’t keep waiting until I check my iron level.

Also, I’ll be putting my hair in braids. I really enjoyed my twist-out series and wearing my hair out, I literally have some styles I want to try out but I want to give it a break.
Low manipulation, plus the supplements… let’s see if I notice any changes in the coming months 🤞🏽

I don’t know what you’re looking for in a place where they’ve openly shown their hate or distrust for you.

Come home or rather…go to countries where your shops won’t be burnt, your life or sources of livelihood threatened…simply because you’re not from there.

I was going to wash out the grease and gel in my hair because it felt really oily to touch, and maybe braid it afterwards just so my hair can rest for a week or two. But…I decided to freestyle with the flowers before doing that.

A particular style came to mind but I figured it’d warrant more manipulation that I can offer right now, so I worked with my length. I said I “worked with my length”, very demure. In fact, this style is even over manipulation for me cos I said I won’t put my hair in a puff for the time being.

Anyways, loved it. Didn’t take much pictures cos the ones I took wasn’t giving at all.
