One of the first questions I get from new clientsāOzealāAudio or Video?
Itās easy to get caught up in the allure of video, but thereās something incredibly powerful about audio-only podcasts.
Why?
Simplicity: No cameras or lightingājust a mic and your message.
Accessibility: Your audience can listen while commuting, exercising, or working.
Intimacy: Audio allows you to build a deeper, more personal connection with your listeners.
But of course, video podcasts have seeped into the hearts of new podcasters and are more popular than ever. No doubtāhaving a video element to your show has its own set of advantagesā marketing expansion, YouTube discoverability/SEO, and a great way to build your personal brand š„
But, which format is right for your podcast? The answer may surprise you.
Just dropped a new podcast episode where I break down the pros and cons of audio vs video podcasts and share why maybeā¦just maaaaybe doing both could be the move.
If youāre navigating this decision or want to take your podcast to the next level, click the video and comment your thoughts.

Having a podcast isnāt impressive anymore.
Everyoneās got a mic and a hot take.
Iāve lost count of how many DMs Iāve gotten from people hyping their āgame-changingā show... with no real message, no clear audience, and a Canva cover that just says āPODCASTā with a mic slapped on it. Yikes.
Check it:
Very few shows actually stick.
If youāre trying to grow your podcast and your brandā¦
š Your content probably isnāt the problem.
š Your packaging and positioning are.
"Whatcha talkinā about, Willis?"
Let me break it down:
ā Whatās the transformation your show delivers?
ā Whoās it really for?
Example:
I love the podcast Ask Your Work Wife, hosted by two friends Holland Hettinger and Vanessa Oler (Highly recommended)
Whoās it for?
āAmbitious women who want more out of corporate America.ā
Clear. Targeted. Sticky rice. š
Why should anyone hit play on your show instead of the 40 others who dropped this morning?
What makes your voice, your format, and your vibe different?
And, yes, consistency matters but I find the podcasters who win in 2025 arenāt ājustā doing the thing.
Theyāre clear, strategic, and bold enough to stand for something and bring something.
ā¼ļø Donāt just publish.
ā Package. Position. And show up with STYLE.

Iāve learned that the MOST transformative thing you can do as a creator isnāt about buying the latest gear or mastering complex editing techniques.
In my latest podcast episode, I break down how this one thing can change the way you create content.
Also, would love to hear your thoughts so drop me a comment.
Cheers!
