25 years ago I was a senior in high school in New York, old enough to understand that everything had just changed. A decade later I was a flight surgeon, wearing this flight suit. Two patches: one for the unit I deployed with, one for the day that sent us there.

I've kept it. Not as a trophy, but as a reminder that the war I flew in was born on a Tuesday morning when nearly three thousand people went to work and never came home. Firefighters climbing stairs. Passengers on a plane over Pennsylvania. Office workers, cooks, cops, EMS, and the people who ran toward it all. For me, its not about the politics behind the event or what came after. Its about the courage of the people who responded to the event during and after.

Some of us were kids that day and wore the uniform because of it. Some who wore it didn't come back. And some who did are still carrying that morning with them, a quarter century on.

I am taking a moment today to remember. Thank you all for being here and its an honor to call you all my brothers and sisters.

It's been wonderful to focus on healing content within Veterans Mental Health. So many of the comments I receive on these videos have been heartfelt along with personal stories from Veterans who have been genuinely affected by the concepts in the videos. It's truly amazing to see and honestly something I never expected from the channel.

I want to thank you all for supporting the channel and continuing to watch the videos. It truly means a lot! I couldn't do this without each and every one of you. Thanks for watching and pushing this content out to more people who need it.

This channel started with one mission - help veterans understand what's happening in their own heads. Every single one of you who subscribed, commented, shared a video with a buddy from your unit, or just quietly watched at 2am when sleep wasn't coming - you built this.

I don't stand on a platform. I stand on your shoulders. You're the giants here - every veteran who served, who came home carrying weight nobody else can see, and who still showed up. For yourselves. For each other.

10,000 of you said this matters. That's not a vanity number to me. That's 10,000 reasons to keep going, keep making content, and keep fighting alongside you.

This week I received a wonderful gift from a Veteran I had the honor of working with.

It’s a wallet with a mini badge inside that reads:

“Federal Agent’s Medicus Fideli.”

I had to google it (of course 😅) — it translates to “Faithful Physician.”

The Veteran wants to stay anonymous, but I just want to say how much this meant to me. Grateful for the trust and for the reminder of why I do this work. Thank you!
