Travelling means something different to every single person in the world.

Where some people travel to get away from their problems, others travel to get drunk around the world.

For me, travel means many things. Travel is freedom. It’s about being able to do what I want.

Initially travelling was an escape, but eventually it became an open school -- a place where exciting things and people resided. It was escaping the world I know and study the world that's alien to me.

It’s about pushing myself to the limit and getting more comfortable in my own skin.

But how about you? Why do you travel?

Last 2 days have been absolutely crazy. So let me take you to each detail.

1) This is my new venture that will soon be a hostel/campsite under @footloosecamps.
2) I've got this place for the next few years.
3) I got the possession of the place on 5th May around 3pm.
4) 2 hours later, Himachal Pradesh announced a 10-day statewide lockdown.
5) This brings us to the morning of 6th May -- 12 hours to setup the place and make it livable, so that I can relocate here. I mean who knows if the 10 day lockdown gets extended to 20 days, and 20 days to a month or two months.
6) Between 9 am to 5 pm I ran around like a gazelle and shopped for the basics -- a matrice, a pillow, quilts, gas stove, cylinder, basic kitchenware and what not. (PS: I still missed buying a bucket, forgot to arrange for hot water and a lot more).
7) On 7th May, ie today, I shifted my base from Naggar to here.
8) The place was in absolute filth. Because it's lockdown I couldn't hire anyone either. So I took charge.
9) I took charge of cleaning the place made up my bedroom (temporary, soon it will be for the guests) and gotten into so much filth that I could smell my own sweat lol.
10) AND this is when I realize I don't have hot water. Taking a cold shower in 5 degree Celsius is tough. Each droplet sucks the life out of you.

But in the end, here I'm, writing this post, proudly and thinking, this has made me a little more capable. Of what? Of everything. Of life and a lot more!

I have bought a small house in Manali, Himachal Pradesh -- an old traditional house.

Will be making daily vlogs of my life. Still travelling on my Jawa 42 though very less of it.
