Welcome to my pottery journey! I'm Tammy Jo, a ceramic artist sharing handmade pottery and faith-inspired functional art since 2011.
I started with a wild challenge: make a cup every day for a year and film it. That 365 Days of Clay Cups project taught me pottery—and showed me the magic happens when you share the journey: fumbles, breakthroughs, and "how did that happen?" moments.
Now I'm making pottery with meaning. Every video brings you into my California studio to watch pieces come to life as stories, not tutorials. You'll see creative decisions, inspiration, and why certain words matter.
I create joyful pottery that turns everyday moments into something special—mugs, bowls, and pieces with messages that remind you what matters most.

I thought I'd give this a go (submitting an art piece to a gallery) fun fun, and GUESS what happened to me! 😜 #Iactuallywon1stplace
From original bisque fire to final piece had multiple layers of underglaze and firings! So much fun in the studio! Hope you all are enjoying your clay time!

When I make pottery I always feel there is a little bit of me in every pot! Watching someone receive a pot they have never physically handled makes me excited and also nervous about the reaction. This was really heartwarming to watch! Thank you so much for sharing your box opening and I'm so excited to see your 101 Jugs Project!!!!

A new "Hobby Potter " studio space! Spending some serious time minimalizing! I'm really thinking about how I can use this brighter, more open space to best share my adventures with you all! (In this photo, I'm sorting through stencils..notice the kiln controller on the table?... I'm getting new elements courtesy of my son & husband!)
