Series Announcement!

Hi everyone,

We’re super excited to — finally — let you know that we have recorded a multi-part series on the Frankfurt School that is PACKED with PROFESSORS!!! So it’s not just us two schmucks for once!

We will release the first episode tomorrow. It’s a relatively quick and short overview of the Frankfurt School, featuring three professors.

Professors Featured in the Series:

- Martin Jay, Ehrman Professor of European History Emeritus, UC Berkeley
- Claudio Corradetti, Associate professor of Political Philosophy and International Relations, University of Rome
- Charles Masquelier, Senior Lecturer (Sociology), University of Exeter
- Gordon Finlayson, Professor of Social and Political Philosophy, University of Sussex
- Joel Whitebook, Philosopher and Psychoanalyst, Columbia University Center For Psychoanalytic Training and Research
- Alan Sked, Emeritus Professor of International History, London School of Economics and Political Science
- Esther Leslie, Professor of Political Aesthetics, Birkbeck University of London

We can’t express how grateful we are to all the professors. They were all extremely generous with their time and knowledge. We will post the full interview with each professor once they’ve featured in the series.

The series is structured chronologically and goes through the different generations and its main thinkers and ideas. So everything from Herbert Marcuse to Habermas to current “Frankfurt School” scholars.

We, of course, couldn’t help but to add our two cents — or more — every now and then, and also make as many connections to contemporary culture as possible, but we tried to be more “disciplined” than our usual…
