Do you think modern life as we know it will fade and collapse by or before 2050 / 2075? My own off-grid research journey has illuminated how utterly dependent all of western society is on cheap oil and affordable minerals (dug up by cheap oil). We as a western society committed to oil and a car-centered life before we were all born. It’s very clear to me now that solar + wind technology can only be manufactured at scale by fossil fuels (and they cannot replace the energy density of oil).
