Hey everyone! Today I'm flying to Canada for a week to visit family. It's just me and my daughter going so wish me luck that everything goes smoothly 🤞🏻 ✈️ Using the ride on suitcase and lots of other travel finds that I've shared 🙌🏻 You can find all my travel finds here: andrejaelena.com/travel-finds/ I'll be back to posting videos in a week 🤍
Hey everyone! I've got a list of questions I will be answering in a Cordon Bleu Q&A video soon which I took from the comment section of my "What it's like to go to LCB" video. If you have any questions about going, living in Paris or about the experience, let me know here and I will do my best to answer all the questions!
Hi everyone! I need your help in deciding which direction to take my channel in since my videos are kind of all over the place - now that there's more of you joining this community, I would love to know what brought you to my channel!
Hi everyone! I am FINALLY posting part 2 of "How to take AMAZING food photos for Instagram" where I show you how i edit my photos using the Instagram app ONLY!
Thank you so much for your patience! You can see from how long my hair is in Part 2 (and that I am no longer pregnant and have a 1 year old yikes!!) that it was waaayyy overdue. I honestly underestimated how little time I would have once I had a baby. So thank you so much for sticking around and continuing to subscribe, I appreciate every one of you so much. Everytime I come on here with a new video, I promise that I am back to posting weekly and then something happens that prevents me from doing that - so I'm not going to say anything and *hopefully* you will just see more videos coming your way more frequently from now on.
Merry Christmas Eve to those celebrating! I have been taking some time off to care for my baby (she's 5 months now! Crazy!) And while I really wanted to keep uploading videos after her birth, it has been next to impossible to find the time and energy :( I kept saying I will film tomorrow but then sleepless nights made 'tomorrow' never come. I have felt really down about not having the time to film because it's been my creative outlet for the past year since I started this channel.
Thank you to everyone who has been subscribing recently! I promise I am still here and will be *crossing fingers* back to somewhat regular uploads come the new year. (Pregnancy/post partum/baby content along with pastry chef career advice and some things in between!)
In the meantime, here is a recipe for festive vegan brownie 'cake'. I took @veganricha 's brownie recipe and modified it a little. And you can also make these Grinch inspired Christmas trees by cutting ice cream cones and piping on green icing with a small star piping tip.
Brownie: Melt in microwave or on stove: 1/2 cup non-dairy milk 1/2 cup brown sugar 2/3 cups chocolate chips 1/4 cup coconut oil Add and whisk in: 1/4 cup apple sauce 1 TBSP ground flax 1/4 cup cocoa powder
Combine the dry ingredients then add to the wet ingredients: 1 cup flour 1/4 tsp salt 1/8 tsp baking powder 1/8 tsp baling soda 1/4 cup chocolate chips
Bake at 350 degrees for 18-20 min. (They are easy to overbake so underbaked is best so they aren't dry!)
Icing: 1/4 cup vegan butter 2.5 cups icing sugar 2 TBSP non-dairy milk Couple drops of peppermint extract (optional)
Enjoy and see you in the New Year! ❤
P.S. I am active on Instagram on a daily basis (mostly sharing baby updates because that's my life right now!! And some pastry/cake inspo), so feel free to connect there! @by.andreja
I hope my answers help those of you who asked questions in the comment section of my Pros & Cons of Being a Pastry Chef video, as well as those who are hoping to learn more about the profession! Let me know if there are any specific things you would like to know more about, like what a typical day is like when working in a restaurant or catering, day in the life of a Cordon Bleu pastry student in Paris, how to excel in culinary school etc.
I'm curious to know what brought you to my channel and what content you would like to see from me moving forward! I love making all sorts of videos, but I want to hear from you. What type of content would add value to your life?

As a follow up to the poll below - do you prefer if a channel sticks to one main topic or do you like variety?
