🎧 Why I Changed the Channel Name to Desktop HiFi
Some of you may have noticed — the channel has a new name: Desktop HiFi. I wanted to take a moment to explain why I made the change.
When I started The Boomer Consumer, it was meant to be a fun way to talk about tech and gear from a certain point of view. But over time, the focus of the channel has become much more clear: I review and explore high-quality HiFi gear designed for desktop and small-room listening — DACs, headphone amps, streamers, compact speakers, and more.
I felt the name Desktop HiFi better reflects what this channel is all about today — and where it’s going.
I’m still the same guy giving honest, real-world impressions of the gear I use every day. The only thing that’s changed is the name on the door.
Thanks to everyone who’s stuck with me through the transition. I’ve got some exciting reviews and comparisons coming up soon!
